McTominay as captain is a decision that is somehow completely crazy for United but also completely reasonable given the context of this season

    Luke

"Antony cuts inside and goes for goal but his shot is blocked" How many times do I have to read those words?

    Joey

Manchester United having their regular 10 minutes spell where they look dangerous and after that they become flat and harmless.

If I was Erik Ten Hag I would just attack on the right hand side as Tsimikas is the only player not up to a Liverpool standard

    Joseph, London

Despite Liverpool’s dominance, this will not be a 5-0 game like last time. Liverpool have to be patient.

Szoboszlai saw the light in the centre of the pitch and he fancied himself, but I was thinking go wide to Salah and I'm pretty sure Salah was thinking the same thing!

Roger: Onana is a disaster waiting to happen

Steve: Utd playing a dangerous game with these goal kicks, they look so chaotic and Liverpool see that so they press

Onana is a liability. For those that say he got to a Champions League final, remember he had an Italian defence in front of him!

Antony again cuts in from the right and the ball is worked to Alejandro Garnacho on the edge of the box, but he is leaning back as he shoots and the ball goes well over.

A lot of people upset that Rashford isn't starting this game but he has shown no drive or team spirit at all this season. Garnacho has, and he's the better choice.

    Luke

Time for Hojland to start justifying the huge money United spent on him. I do feel he hasn't had the best service so far but he must hold the ball up better today given Liverpool will have by far most of the possession.

    Tim

Leading Manchester United out at Anfield must have seemed such a distant dream for Scott McTominay three months ago. Funny old game hey.
