GOAL: Stoke City 1-1 Swansea Citypublished at 21:32 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Harry Darling (89 mins)

That second goal for Stoke went begging - and now Swansea have seized their chance to square the game.

It's Harry Darling, who gave away the penalty, making amends - he rises at the far post to head in a corner and make it 1-1.

    Huddersfield 1-3 Preston

Huddersfield trail Preston with the visitors headed for a first win in five games and a place in the top six as it stands.

  3. Postpublished at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Stoke City 1-0 Swansea City

Stoke have looked fairly comfortable since that Daniel Johnson penalty, but they almost wrapped up the points just now with a second goal.

Junior Tchamadeu's header back across the box is close to the lunging Ryan Mmaee but not quite close enough and he's unable to turn it in at the far post.

  4. Curse of the commentator...published at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Watford 1-2 Ipswich Town

    Derek Payne
Former Watford midfielder at Vicarage Road for BBC Three Counties Radio

Watford are pushing them back, forcing them on the back foot, (Ken) Sema has been excellent, good block from the Ipswich defender from (Tom) Ince's shot.

Watford have got their tactics right and been the better team this second half but Ipswich still pose a threat on the counter.

    Geoff Doyle:

Sam Morsey nutmegs the goalkeeper, it was a terrible error from the Hornets defender Wesley Hoedt and Morsy knew exactly what to do...

Payne: I wish I hadn't said that earlier..

That was a massive error from him.

  5. goal

GOAL: Watford 1-2 Ipswich Townpublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Sam Morsy (80 mins)

Ipswich love scoring late goals - and this one might well propel them to the top of the Championship!

Reward for Sam Morsy's relentless pressing as he forces Edo Kayembe to go back to Wesley Hoedt and the defender hesitates, enabling Town's skipper to nip on and steer his finish past Ben Hamer.

A second goal of the season for Morsy and the Tractor Boys are making all the noise now. Doesn't sound tuneful enough to suggest Ed Sheeran is joining in, mind you...

    Sunderland 0-0 Leeds

Edgy stuff at the Stadium of Light as we pass the hour mark.

It's still goalless but the game is finely poised. Leeds are unbeaten in seven. It would be quite a scalp for Sunderland if they were to end that run tonight.

  7. Triple change for Ipswichpublished at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Watford 1-1 Ipswich Town

Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna opts to freshen up his forward line with three changes in one fell swoop.

Wes Burns, Nathan Broadhead and Freddie Ladapo are all introduced, but it's still Watford who are carving out the better chances.

Tom Ince tees one up for Edo Kayembe, but he blazes over the bar and it remains 1-1 going into the final 15 minutes.

  8. Postpublished at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Blackburn 2-1 Bristol City

Mark Sykes and Jason Knight combining again for Bristol City, but that equaliser against Blackburn is proving elusive.

Sykes finds Knight who turns and shoots but Leopold Wahlstedt makes the save again.

Shortly after, Knight then draws another save from Wahlstedt with a header. Blackburn under a fair bit of pressure here.

  9. 'Much better from Albion'published at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Rotherham 0-1 West Brom

    Tony Brown
West Brom's all-time record goalscorer on BBC Radio WM

It was a great ball wasn't it from (Jed) Wallace, across the six-yard box inviting someone to just throw themselves at it.

This is much better from Albion.

  10. Postpublished at 21:15 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Blackburn 2-1 Bristol City

Jason Knight is leading the charge as Bristol City continue their comeback against Blackburn.

Having set up Mark Sykes' goal earlier on, he then fires goalbound and draws a fine save from Rovers keeper Leopold Wahlstedt.

  11. goal

GOAL: Stoke City 1-0 Swansea Citypublished at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Daniel Johnson (pen 70 mins)

Maybe it isn't from open play, but it's a Stoke goal nevertheless!

Ryan Mmaee weaves his way into the Swans penalty area, only to be felled by Harry Darling - and the referee points to the spot.

Daniel Johnson does the honours with his second goal of the season and the Potters are in front.

    Huddersfield 1-3 Preston

    Matt Glennon
Former Huddersfield keeper on BBC Radio Leeds

Another particularly well struck-shot finds the bottom corner.

Then Preston take two of their most dangerous players of the night off for slight relief for Town.

  13. Postpublished at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Watford 1-1 Ipswich Town

So, where is the winner going to come?Watford have had the better of this second half, with Ken Sema's effort charged down before he set up Jamal Lewis for a close-range attempt that Vaclav Hladky did well to turn away.

The home side have forced a string of corners as well, but Ipswich remain dangerous on the counter-attack and you certainly wouldn't bet against them stinging the Hornets.

  14. goal

GOAL: Huddersfield 1-3 Prestonpublished at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Ben Whiteman (66 mins)

Preston restore their two-goal lead against Huddersfield shortly after the hosts had got off the mark.

Liam Millar lays the ball to Duane Holmes who then coolly plays into the path of Ben Whiteman who fires low from the edge of the box.

A huge goal for the visitors who've been out of form coming into this game.

  15. 'Corberan doing his dancing moves'published at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Rotherham 0-1 West Brom

    Steve Hermon
    BBC Radio WM commentator

This could be clean-sheet number 21 in the 47th appearance of his Albion career for Alex Palmer.

They look better when they up the pace do the away side, it was too slow in the first-half.

I did not see much of Carlos Corberan in the first half, now he is doing his dancing moves in the technical area.

  16. Postpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2023

    Stoke City 0-0 Swansea City

Stoke's supporters haven't seen a goal at home for almost four games now, but the drought almost ended just now.

Josh Laurent's pass finds Daniel Johnson, who strikes a powerful volley but Carl Rushworth flings up an arm instinctively to turn it over the bar.

At the other end, Jamie Paterson's effort is scrambled off the line - but it's still scoreless.

Bristol City fight back against Blackburn.

The visitors prosper from Blackburn trying, and failing to play it out from the back and they dispossess the hosts on the edge of their own box.

Jason Knight plays the ball through to Mark Sykes who makes no mistake from close range.

    Huddersfield 1-2 Preston

    Matt Glennon
Former Huddersfield keeper on BBC Radio Leeds

The centre-half going into the right wing position getting a cross in, that's what you have to do, not everything can be black and white structured.

That's what Matty Pearson does there and makes it 2-1.

Suddenly Huddersfield are back in this match.
