Foxes goalscorer Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall told Sky Sports: "We've got very good individual players who are very good on the counter and we have scored goals like that already this season.

"It's coming - the gaffer is drilling it into us week by week. When we get it flowing the connections are very good and not many teams can live with us.

"It's not all going to be pretty football, Birmingham made it tough for us at the end but we managed to stick it out."

"We knew it would be difficult but we are happy with the performance and obviously the three points.

"We know the weapons we have. We have got a lot of direct, quick attackers and we try to utilise them.

"We are enjoying every day. It's about having fun at the end of the day. We're taking it game by game, as it's a long season and we want to keep this going as long as possible."

Defeat for Birmingham City leaves Wayne Rooney's side parked 17th in the Championship table.

It also leaves them just six points above the relegation places after 22 games.

Leicester City topping the table is something we have all gotten used to when looking at the Championship table this season.

They made the most of Ipswich's draw in their derby against Norwich on Saturday, and put daylight between themselves and the Tractor Boys.

Wayne Rooney's Birmingham City have pushed pacesetters Leicester City tonight, but they suffer a seventh defeat in 11 games and remain 17th in the table.

No doubt, there will be positives spoken about by Blues faithful but the run they are on makes for grim reading.

Leicester hold on and soar clear at the Championship summit.

More importantly, they have opened a 13-point gap to third place as they chase a top-two finish and automatic promotion.

We are into the final minute of added time, Leicester are just 60 seconds from going three points clear at the top.

Cesare Casadei wastes a a huge chance to put this game to bed for Leicester City.

He runs on to a neat ball on the edge of the area and heads straights for John Ruddy.

The Birmingham goalkeeper shuts the angle down, but the Italy Under-21 international hammers his low effort wide without testing the keeper.

They don't need to panic here, Leicester, they just need to keep possession. All Birmingham are going to do is go long to the big lads.

The fourth official indicates that there will be five minutes of added time.
