All that comes because of the positive play from Dylan Levitt in the first instance.
Take nothing away from the finish from Tavares it was a sublime finish.
But the goal comes from taking a bit of risk on the halfway line, playing forward and committing the opposition.
Hibernian 2-0 Ross County
VAR took a quick look to check that Tavares was onside, but he was clearly on and the goal stands.
Jair Tavares
Jair Tavares' first goal for Hibs is an absolute peach!
Dylan Levitt plays a stunning pass into Tavares' path down the left, and County don't close him down quickly enough.
The Portuguese winger takes his time before smashing a shot beyond Ross Laidlaw at his near post.

Jojo Wollacott has just played the best pass of the night, fizzing a pinpoint 50-yarder out to Lewis Stevenson.
Get him in midfield.

He'll be fine.

Getting ready for the football...
Woolly hat, check. Alien costume, check.

I do not think Malky will change too much because the game is so even.
I think Hibs will play with a bit more confidence.
It will be quite a fascinating start to the second half.

Ross County have now failed to score a first-half goal in nine of their 10 league games this season.
Not ideal.

The goal just before half-time has certainly lifted the home support and ensured they enjoy their cuppa and pie in the interval. Up until then County had looked dangerous on the break and fairly solid at the back.
But the pace of Youann is lethal and although his strike on goal may have been leaking just wide, he has been the one player in home colours who looked as if they could make the difference.
This would be a huge lift for Hibernian ahead of a trip to Hampden on Saturday where Aberdeen await in the Viaplay Cup semi-final.
For County they will still have the belief they can get back into the game. An interesting 45 minutes to look forward to.

If Hibs are able to build on the draw that they took against Celtic with a win here then it just builds up nicely for them heading in to the game against Aberdeen
Hibernian 1-0 Ross County
That is that for the first half at Easter Road.
It was a pretty poor game for the vast majority, with quality lacking in attack for both sides.
However, right on the brink of half-time, Elie Youan's shot deflected in off Ben Purrington to give the hosts the lead.

That goal changes the whole dynamic of what the managers will be thinking about saying to the players at half-time.
Aidan Connolly
A second for Connolly doubles Raith's lead.
Hibernian 1-0 Ross County
Michael Stewart
Former Hearts & Hibs midfielder on BBC Sportsound
The shot was going wide so it makes it even harder for Ross County to take.
