Hibs need to be feeding the wide players as quickly as possible because they have got the opportunity, if they get the ball quickly to them, to get one-on-one with the Ross County full-backs.

It's been a fairly uneventful start to the game at Easter Road.

County's compact shape is forcing Hibs wide, but neither Jair Tavares or Elie Youan have got any joy down the flanks thus far.

Hibs look to play out from the back, but Rocky Bushiri plays a pretty unsympathetic pass into Jimmy Jeggo, and the Australian midfielder can only boot it behind for a County corner.

Adam Le Fondre pops the ball back to Jimmy Jeggo, and away we go...

The key for Hibs is making sure they are organised when they are in possession to make sure teams do not counter on them so easily.

He is setting up his team to have a go and I think it will be quite exciting tonight.

It could be quite an open game. On transition Hibs are going to be a little bit open and it is up to Ross County if they can make the most of that.

• Ross County won this fixture last season 2-0; never before have the Staggies won back-to-back Scottish Premiership visits to Hibs.

"If you had said to me before the [Motherwell] game that we would have come out with a point and play the way we did, to be so dominant with ten minutes to go [I'd have taken it]. I am disappointed but we played really well.

"I think we went to Dundee and played well. We have got to look at the belief the players have got and notice that we are going toe-to-toe with teams that are on good runs.

"We are not too far behind the big teams in this league and that is what gives me the belief that my team can come up against anybody in the league and give them a game.

"A couple of wins springboards you in this league and that is why I am making sure my players realise we are in touching distance of everyone. It is going to be a tough game tonight.

"We have had a lot of travelling going on and just a couple of fresh faces tonight."

He initially responded by saying that his only focus was on tonight's game, before walking away up the tunnel.

It needs to be invested wisely.

Scottish football and billionaires, we have heard that before. This time around you know that there is a track record there but it needs to be done wisely.

You do not need to spend billions to make a difference in Scottish football.

Hibs have a good infrastructure already in place. For me, it is about having the right people in the right positions.

There are a lot of good things in place already at Hibs but with more money being put in, there is the potential to really push [Celtic and Rangers].

BBC Scotland has learned the billionaire owner of Bournemouth is looking to buy a stake in Hibs.

American businessman Bill Foley, who took control of the English Premier League side last year has been looking to expand a sporting franchise that already includes a Las Vegas Ice Hockey team, as well as football clubs in England, France and Australia.

It’s understood he has been keen on investing in the Edinburgh club for months and has held initial talks with a view to making a non-controlling investment.

The interest comes as the Scottish FA look at relaxing the rule that bans an organisation or individual having a controlling stake in two clubs at the same time.

Malky Mackay makes two changes to the Ross County team that played out a remarkable 3-3 draw away to Motherwell at the weekend.

Ben Purrington starts at left-back ahead of George Harmon, and Kyle Turner comes in for Yan Dhanda who drops to the bench.

Will Nightingale is named as a substitute after missing the last two matches.

Josh Reid (toe), Ross Callachan and Ben Paton (both knee) all remain out.

Hibs head coach Nick Montgomery has made four changes to the side that held Celtic to a goalless draw on Saturday.

Jojo Wollacott starts in goal in place of David Marshall, Lewis Stevenson replaces Jordan Obita, Dylan Levitt comes in for Joe Newell in the heart of midfield, and Adam Le Fondre is preferred up front to Martin Boyle.

Hibernian striker Christian Doidge missed the Celtic draw with a muscle tweak and is still sidelined.

Long-term absentees Jake Doyle-Hayes (ankle), Harry McKirdy (heart) and Chris Cadden (Achilles) remain out.
