    Morton 0-2 Dunfermline

    Silky, silky stuff from Dunfermline.

They one-touch pass their way up the mark and fashion a chance through Lewis McCann, whose shot zips just wide.

The visitors high on confidence, and rightly so.

    Morton 0-2 Dunfermline

My colleague Thomas Duncan on commentary has just told us that a Morton fan has thrown their pie on the pitch in disgust at their side's start.

  4. Postpublished at 19 mins

    Morton 0-2 Dunfermline

Wee bit of a penalty shout for Dunfermline.

George Oakley certainly has a tug of Chris Hamilton's jersey, but his unorthodox fall might have gone against him.

A long ball goes over the top in search of George Oakley but the flag is up.

There's already some quite considerable boos swirling around Cappielow.

A wee peak behind the curtains. In the production truck pre-match we were talking about players to highlight.

    I said Owen Moffat.

    Not a soul listened.

I can tell you, they're all running to me now.

It's the absolutely perfect start for James McPake's men. Morton are all over the place at the back. Someone has to swing a foot to clear that.

Owen Moffat is there to punish them, great finish.

Gutted to report Sammy the Tammy has not made the jaunt down to Cappielow with the merry band of Pars fans. You best believe I would have been getting a picture, and it wouldn't be my first with the legend.

Cappie the Cat, though, is having a ball out there.

Dunfermline manager James McPake tells BBC Scotland: "First thing was to show we can come up and compete in this league. I think we did that with some decent results and good performances.

"Obviously, at the moment, we're on the run of three losses so we're looking to make that better tonight.

"Being the newly-promoted team we wanted to come up and establish ourselves.

"Dougie [Imrie] is experienced in this league. Coming down here, we know how tough it can be."

  20. 'We need to start soon' - Imriepublished at 19:41 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2023

    Morton v Dunfermline (19;45)

Morton manager Dougie Imrie tells BBC Scotland: "Last season, we seemed to get a lot of breaks. This season, we don't seem to be getting any, but that can change.

"Hopefully, tonight it turns and we go level with Dunfermline. That's the positive that we can take tonight.

"The two at the top, those are the teams that can be conistent. For the rest of us, it's been quite stop start. There's been a lot of plaudits for teams just above us.

"We're only four points off fifth and we haven't really started yet. We need to start soon and hopefully that's tonight."
