I can understand why Vitalii Mykolenko attempted it. He's scored two in the last two - he's in good scoring form but certainly not there.

It was the quickest goal Everton have conceded in a Premier League game at Goodison Park since August 2014 v Chelsea (Diego Costa after 35 seconds).

Timed at 136 seconds, that was United's fastest Premier League goal since 7 March 2021 when Bruno Fernandes scored in a 2-0 win at Manchester City.

Good play from Everton. The first real time and moment we've seen them string a couple of passes together in the attacking third. James Garner heavily involved Idrissa Gana Gueye running down the side of the penalty area just really poor execution of a cross. He had numbers in there.

United keeper Andre Onana is closed down as he receives a backpass but he gets it away just in time.

Alejandro Garnacho has Ashley Young on toast and the Everton veteran, once of Manchester United, chops the youngster down. Booked.

Tell you what, United did well getting that early goal because there's a deathly silence from the home supporters.

I think they've been quite comfortable so far Manchester United. I think what they've been trying to do tactically has been quiet effective.

Kobbie Mainoo has had a really impressive start, the youngster. Really comfortable on the ball, really relaxed in possession despite the atmosphere.

The corner is pulled back to Luke Shaw 25 yards from goal and he fizzes one over. Not quite shades of Paul Scholes.
