It has been frantic, there has been good refereeing, it has been slick.

There is nothing to really say for Blackburn apart from "get back in the game".

It was exciting football.

From a poor free-kick, Blackburn switch off. The keeper, for me, made himself very small.

Arnor Sigurdsson has come to an English league which is fast and furious. He has got to embrace it.

Preston head into the changing rooms with a one-goal lead against Blackburn in this Lancashire derby.

Alan Browne's thunder-strike is the difference between these two sides but don't count out Blackburn yet.

The hosts have hit the crossbar on two occasions - first from Arnor Sigurdsson and then through Andrew Moran.

A thrilling second half awaits if the first period is anything to go by.

Two minutes added on to this first half, by the way.

Great entertainment if you're a neutral.

That was fantastic.

You are only taking a matter of two inches and that is in the top corner.

Unbelievable technique.

Now this would have been some way for Blackburn to level things up before the break.

A ball is played across the box towards Tyrhys Dolan who's on the right-hand side.

Dolan volleys the ball to Andrew Moran who blasts a shot from outside the box and hits the crossbar.

Sammie Szmodics and Andrew Moran combine to fight back for Blackburn with both seeing efforts blocked, Moran seeing his effort deflected away by Brad Potts.

The hosts win a corner, which is wasted and Preston end up winning a throw-in soon after it's taken.

Not long left of this first half.

Great stuff from Preston who have only grown in confidence since taking the lead.

Milutin Osmajic turns and scuffs his shot inside the Blackburn box and Will Keane's effort is similarly tame.

But Blackburn look vulnerable at the minute. Half-time can't come too soon for the hosts, you feel.

It was a poor inswinging delivery from the free-kick beforehand.

Blackburn Rovers' defence had to run back. The ball comes loose.

Alan Browne's touch was sublime, the finish was even better.

They look like they fancy scoring again before half-time.

Freddie Woodman is on hand to collect a rather tame shot from Callum Brittain as Blackburn test the visitors for the first time in a while.

Preston look comfortable but this feels like a game of fine margins.

You just get the sense that Preston are beginning to set the pace of this game.

Ryan Lowe's side are camped out in the Blackburn half of the field and Milutin Osmajic is giving the hosts plenty to think about.

Half an hour gone but it's still goalless, mind. Somehow.

For me it's advantage Preston North End at the moment.

You've got Duane Holmes' effort, then Milutin Osmajic, even though he was offside.

Every time they put the ball in, every first contact is North End and not Rovers.

Brad Potts whips in a ball into the Blackburn box which is met by Milutin Osmajic, but his effort goes wide.

Great movement from Preston but the flag is correctly raised for offside.

Jordan Storey floats a ball into the Blackburn box as Preston look to catch out the hosts as we approach the midway point of the first half.

Will Keane meets it but his effort is headed wide.

Plenty of chances so far but no-one's found the net just yet.
