    Southampton 0-0 Bristol City

Plenty of chances at St Mary's but still no goals between Southampton and Bristol City.

Firstly, Mark Sykes tries his luck from distance but fails to test Saints keeper Gavin Bazunu.

Then Adam Armstrong wins a corner at the other end and then fires over the bar soon after.

Then Bristol City win a corner of their own but Matty James diverts his effort too high to test Bazunu.

  2. 'Long way back for Wednesday'published at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2023

    Sheff Wed 0-1 Leicester

    Michael Morrison
Former Foxes defender on BBC Radio Leicester

It's a really good finish by Abdul Fatawu, great quality. It was off the back of some build-up play from Sheffield Wednesday.

It's a long way back for them. The goal should settle everything down for Leicester.

    Leeds 1-1 Swansea

Nice touch. There's a minutes' applause in the 11th minute for former Wales and Leeds midfielder Gary Speed.

    Never forgotten.

Leicester are off the mark at Hillsborough!

Abdul Fatawu fires in from close range having taken a touch on his chest beforehand.

It comes after good work from Stephy Mavididi on the wing as he whipped in the decisive cross.

    Conor Chaplin (5 mins)

Rasper from Conor Chaplin, who collects goal number seven of the campaign with a stunning finish after a perfect build-up for Ipswich.

Wes Burns darts down the right and sweeps in a hanging cross in the chilly haze, which is knocked down into Chaplin's path by George Hirst, and the striker fires it fiercely into the turf and beyond Bartosz Bialkowski.

    Blackburn 0-0 Birmingham

Championship top scorer Sammie Szmodics signed a new deal with Blackburn this week.

And he's almost celebrated it with an assist as he tees up Callum Brittain, who shoots from a tight angle but it fails to test Birmingham keeper John Ruddy.

  8. Postpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2023

    Ipswich 0-0 Millwall

Dicey moment at the back as a ball sprays loose and almost lets Millwall in, but Harry Clarke for Ipswich and his goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky do enough to bash the ball clear.

Conor Chaplin at the other end races to latch on to a though ball, but it outruns him and rolls through.

Lively start, not quite as lively as Elland Road but to be far that was excessive.

  9. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2023

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leicester

Leicester could have taken the lead against Sheffield Wednesday in audacious form just now.

Ricardo Pereira's long-range strike is deflected over the Owls' crossbar.

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2023

    Ipswich 0-0 Millwall

Terry Venables tributeImage source, PA Media

Respectful, enthusiastic applause for Terry Venables at Portman Road tonight, where they know a thing or two about England managers.

High-fliers Ipswich in their traditional blue, Millwall in less familiar orange.

Off we go, after the strains of 'Hey Jude' are flicked off the PA system. This one kicked off at 20:00 GMT by the way.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2023

    Blackburn 0-0 Birmingham

Not a great start to matters at Ewood Park for Blackburn Rovers.

Tyrhys Dolan is forced off with an injury, having initially tried to run it off.

    Harry Leonard replaces him.

    Sunderland 0-0 Huddersfield

Sunderland have tried Luis Semedo, Mason Burstow, Bradley Dack and Nazariy Rusyn this season up top, and tonight it's a first start for Eliezer Mayenda.

Strikers have been an issue, or at least a regular forward leading the line is.

How Tony Mowbray would love him to step up tonight...

Leicester top the Championship table while Sheffield Wednesday are propping it up headed into tonight's game.

Conor Coady makes only his sixth appearance for the Foxes, who nabbed the first chance of this game through Harry Winks' shot.

Meanwhile at the other end, the Owls test Leicester keeper Mads Hermansen through Bambo Diaby's header.

    Leeds 1-1 Swansea

Leeds want a penalty after a cross from Sam Byram is blocked at close range by the arm of sliding Josh Key.

Kamaldeen Sulemana plays a neat one-two with Adam Armstrong as Southampton go on the attack early on against Bristol City.

Sulemana is through on goal but he tries to turn onto his right foot and plays a tame shot directly at Robins keeper Max O'Leary.

  17. 'First five minutes has been electric'published at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2023

    Leeds 1-1 Swansea

    Bradley Johnson
Former Leeds midfielder on BBC Radio Leeds

Great start. This is relentless, the first five minutes of this game has been electric.

It's like a basketball match, it's end to end. I'm sure at some point it will settle down and Leeds will try and control the ball like Daniel Farke will want them to.

What a ridiculous match this is already.

Leeds pour forward, Glen Kamara releasing Crysencio Summerville into space.

He rolls a little diagonal into Joel Piroe's path, and the ex-Swan coolly fires past his old club to square it all up.

    What a reply.

  19. 'Lots of time in this game yet'published at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2023

    Leeds 0-1 Swansea

    Bradley Johnson
Former Leeds midfielder on BBC Radio Leeds

I was just about to say what a great start by Leeds, but that's football.

Swansea went from one end to the other.

They will be delighted with the start, but there is a lot of time in this game yet.

Oh my word what a sequence of play.

Leeds strike down the left, a ball sails across the six-yard box and there is Dan James to tuck away against his old club.

    Great start... or not. Disallowed.

Swansea waste no time. The ball is clipped forward and Ethan Ampadu's header sells his keeper Illan Meslier short, and Jamie Paterson lobs it over him.

    Goal.
