    That was heart-in-mouth for York.

Did it bounce off a Wigan hand?

I think the fog, the bodies around the ball, maybe the referee could have got a better view of it?

    I couldn't quite see!

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Two

York City goalkeeper David Stockdale probably didn't know where he was in relation to his box.

As a goalkeeper, your instinct is to put your hands out.

I think he has got lucky with the amount of defenders that are around him to protect the goal.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 71 mins

David Stockdale comes out to deal with a ball forward and doesn't bank on Wigan striker Callum Lang also haring after it.

Yellow card, as there was support to cover. York maybe a little lucky.

From the free-kick, Lang slaps one at goal but this time Stockdale does win the duel.

Wigan exuding a bit of confidence now and York deflated, completely understandably.

    Concentration and focus.

York City lost both of them in a two-second spell there.

Sorry, Tyler Cordner, but you totally got yourself caught.

That is a terrible goal, so avoidable.

    York 0-1 Wigan

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Two

That quality that he has got, Stephen Humphrys shows in the finish.

He was one-on-one, he stays cool, stays calm.

He has been Wigan's best player tonight and he has got his goal.

Stephen Humphrys puts Wigan ahead with a calm finish against York

Punishing for York, who have been so dilligent defensively, but they were undone that time.

Wigan loop it forward, Tyler Cordner gets his leap all wrong and the ball bounces through into space for Stephen Humphrys, who gambled as such and was in.

Out came David Stockdale, but the former Rochdale and Hearts man dummied the goalkeeper, ghosted by and slipped the ball into an empty net.

Big relief. Some fans ran on to celebrate. That might land Wigan in hot water. But right now, that goal was just what was needed.
