Daniel: As a Scotland fan, I’d rather avoid England in the group stage… makes the victory all the sweeter when we knock them out in the semi final.

Paul: As per every sporting draw, England will get the easiest group possible and Scotland will get the most difficult one possible. Mark my words.

  16. 'Wales should be able to qualify again'published at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2023

    Julien Laurens
French football expert on BBC Two

Playing at the Cardiff City Stadium for the semi-final and the final is a massive advantage for Wales. Finland in the semi-finals should be fine for them.

Then it might be Poland and Robert Lewandowski. It's a good team but not one that Wales can't beat.

The Welsh players and Rob Page have to be confident that over the two games at home in Cardiff, they should be able to qualify again.

  18. 'Now or never for Southgate'published at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2023

    Julien Laurens
French football expert on BBC Two

I make France favourites, slightly with England. I think England after losing the Euros in 2021, the disappointment of losing to France in the quarter-finals in Qatar, I think they will be very strong.

It's now or never for Southgate and this generation.

  19. 'I would make England favourites'published at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2023

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Two

I'm excited for the draw, I would make England favourites. I've just got a good feeling for England, whoever they draw I've got a good feeling.
