As usual in these sorts of draws the teams have been split into four different pots.

One team from each pot will make up a group. Hosts Germany are automatically assigned to Group A and position one, so they can play on the opening night, but the other 23 slots will be done via a draw.

Teams in each pot don't fill the respective slot in each group either, so England could be D4 and Scotland E1 for example, despite being in pot one and pot three respectively.

Pot 1: Germany (hosts), Portugal, France, Spain, Belgium, England.

Pot 2: Hungary, Turkey, Romania, Denmark, Albania, Austria.

Pot 3: Netherlands, Scotland, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic.

Pot 4: Italy, Serbia, Switzerland, play-off winner A (one of Poland/Wales/Finland/Estonia), play-off winner B (one of Israel/Bosnia and Herzegovina/Ukraine/Iceland), play-off winner C (one of Georgia/Greece/Kazakstan/Luxembourg).

The draw takes place at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, one of the 10 host cities for next summer's championship.

The ceremony is due to start at 17:00 GMT and will be streamed at the top of this page (you can also watch it on BBC Two from 17:15).

The draw itself is due to begin just after 17:20.

Jason Mohammad will present BBC Two's coverage, with Jonathan Pearce overseeing the draw.

We're expecting to hear reaction from England boss Gareth Southgate, Scotland's Steve Clarke and Wales' Rob Page too.

There are 21 teams confirmed for Euro 2024 - 20 through the qualifying rounds and hosts Germany.

Here are those teams, plus their Fifa world ranking in brackets, to give you a sense of who you might want to face and who you might to avoid.

France (2), England (3), Belgium (4), Netherlands (6), Portugal (7), Spain (8), Italy (9), Croatia (10), Germany (16), Switzerland (18), Denmark (19), Austria (24), Hungary (27), Serbia (34), Scotland (36), Turkey (37), Czech Republic (39), Romania (43), Slovakia (45), Slovenia (54), Albania (62).

The final three teams will come from the play-offs, which take place in March.
