West Ham have woken up a bit now. Taken their time but it's just coming together in the last few minutes.

The deflection from the defender just took the weight out of that shot from Buonanotte.

Areola did well to read it and adjust his feet accordingly though.

And here's another one from Emerson but the West Ham full-back drags it miles wide.

Billy Gilmour slides a decent ball through to James Milner on the left but the experienced midfielder isn't ready for it and he's slow to react.

Brighton come again though and Facundo Buonanotte's shot deflects up and into Alphonse Areola's arms.

Ben Johnson gives chase to Edson Álvarez's long ball but Jason Steele comes out to close him down before the flag is up.

James Milner's reverse pass lays it off to Joao Pedro. He cuts it back into the middle but Brighton have to come back out again.

Jarrod Bowen tries to slip it down the right for Pablo Fornals but Pervis Estupinan is there to cover it.

I think it's probably kind to say it's not been a blockbuster so far.

One long ball for Jarrod Bowen goes straight into Jason Steele's arms.

In the dugout, Roberto de Zerbi is furious and is stamping his feet in frustration at what he's seeing.

It's hard to get your head around the Brighton goalkeepers changing all the time. One game it's Jason Steele, then it's Bart Verbruggen the next.

I can imagine it is hard for either of them to build up any rhythm in their game with it changing so often.

Said Benrahma has nowhere to go on the left and he's cornered by a combination of Jan Paul van Hecke and Adam Webster.

Jarrod Bowen eventually has space to run into but his cross is comfortable for Jason Steele.

Adam Webster tries to play a pass to cut through the middle but it's blocked by Tomas Soucek.
