    She couldn't believe it either!

Someone should check the temperature of Lauren James' head because that is not like her to not even hit the target.

Last week you would have bet your mortgage on her to score, glad I didn't do that there!

    Chelsea 0-0 Paris FC

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Chelsea and England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Paris FC have brought a bit of physicality to this contest.

It is clear that they saw what Real Madrid did last week and wanted to replicate it, wanted to try and rough Chelsea up a bit and throw them off their normal game.

Sometimes it takes Chelsea too long to have that aggression and bite back. They can't afford to do that tonight because Paris FC have a dangerous frontline and can hurt them.

Paris FC are second in the French top flight and they're playing like it.

Lou Bogaert charges towards the Chelsea defence but is fouled.

Every time the ball comes central Paris FC are pressing very high, which is exactly what Real Madrid did last week.

Chelsea can't afford to let them turn the ball over so high up the pitch.

  19. 'James moving inside to create overload'published at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2023

    Chelsea 0-0 Paris FC

    Tanya Oxtoby
Northern Ireland manager on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Lauren James is already moving in and overloading the midfield, she's coming inside into the pocket, almost second number ten alongside Jessie Fleming.

That then enables Niamh Charles to get forward on this left-hand side - she is moving very high into the space left by James.

Paris FC are going to have to keep an eye on that as it will likely cause a lot of problems.

    More promising from Chelsea.

Lauren James pings the ball across to Jessie Fleming who cuts inside and tries to take a shot at goal but it's deflected and easily caught.
