Another shocking referee decision to not give anything for Jota being clattered on the edge of the area. I swear if we win the league with the referees actively trying to stop us you guys aren't going to hear the end of it.

There's going to be a serious injury this season if that challenge on Diaz doesn't meet the threshold of a yellow card.

  16. 'Decisions didn't go our way'published at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

FT: Sheffield United 2-2 West Ham

    West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes on TNT Sports: "We should never have got ourselves red carded, we got caught on the ball in midfield.

"Really, we had the chances to win, we had great chances to make it 3-0.

"We went down to 10 v 10 in the last minute but even so that wasn't a problem, we should have defended it.

"We defend as well as we could have done and a couple of decisions didn't go our way.

"It was not good, probably our worst performance of the season as far as quality on the ball and quality of decisions.

"I wouldn't like to blame the pitch but the pitch was quite hard, but I'd only be making excuses if I'd done that. That may be a reason for some of the poor passing in the first half.

"We're disappointed, we feel as if things have gone against us. We'll only blame ourselves but ultimately we could look at other people as well."

  17. 'I think we deserved a result today'published at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

FT: Sheffield United 2-2 West Ham

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder to BBC Match of the Day: "I've been a Sheffield United supporter for 35, 40 years and it's never been any different. Whether it's a game or a season it's interesting. It's interesting because we stay with it and we give it a go.

"It isn't just about the effort and the application, I thought we played well and controlled the game against some good players.

"I thought that was a decent enough effort in the first half. We stayed in until the end, things happened at the end which happen in football matches. Because the attitude was there, that allowed things to happen.

"I think we deserved a result today. Not just from our attitude but from our play as well.

"It's a good performance and we're rewarded by a result.

"I want us to play in the right areas and be good as well in terms of our control and match decisions. Late on we just needed to be a bit more direct.

"Our attitude stayed with us and we'll keep building and moving forward. It was a step in the right direction today."

On Rhian Brewster's sending off: "I thought no and other managers have said yes. That's the theme of 90% of decisions in the Premier League this year, one will say yes, another will say no.

"And then you're tossing a coin. Listen, we'll probably argue the toss over a beer in about 10 minutes."

  18. 'Our standards are not where we want them to be'published at 17:23 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

FT: Sheffield United v West Ham

    West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes to BBC Match of the Day: "Disappointed in the end because we should have comfortably got ourselves three points today. I see it as two points dropped.

"Look, I'm not going to come out and say much because we're the ones who would get in trouble. We'd like to, but we're getting to a stage now where the managers we're seeing a level of officiating where we're shrugging our shoulders and saying, 'this is what we're getting now'.

"We should have done better, we had 11 v 10 and we got caught in midfield to go down to 10. We were a little bit late in the challenge which I don't think was enough for a booking but it warranted one, the referee thought so and that's all we can do.

"So, 10 v 10 should still be fine, we shouldn't concede at that point. I'm not sure the decision was correct, but over people will have other thoughts on it.

"We were so poor, probably as bad as we have been with the ball. It was another call which did go against us which on another day could have gone for us and we could have come away as winners and we'd be talking a lot more positively.

"Our standards are not where we want them to be."
