  1. 'We're here to try and excite the supporters' - Adamspublished at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Ross County v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Ross County manager Derek Adams tells BBC Sportsound: "It has been a busy week, starting on Monday, travelling up from Morecambe. It's been a good time for me to get to know the players, understand the football club again, get my bearings.

"The main differences are the infrastructure. From a playing point of view, the players have all changed. I know Don Cowie from playing with him, I know Scott Thomson. I know a lot of the staff.

"I've looked at the squad, and they've trained well, been really enthusiastic. They're good players, but we have to get wins on the board.

"We're here to try and excite the supporters. The team is slightly different today, we had to look at a slightly different way of playing. I haven't gone with the way that I'd really like to play because of personnel.

"Derek and I go way back, to the Pro License days which we came through together. He's evolved as a manager over the years. We're both vastly experienced and have huge respect from each other."

    Hearts v St Johnstone (15:00)

Can Craig Levein improve St Johnstone's dismal record at Tynecastle? The Perth side have lost seven of their last eight league visits to Gorgie.

Levein is only just in the door at Saints, picking up four valuable points from home games against Motherwell and Ross County.

It's a surprise to see that Hearts have earned just eight points from six home games this season but they are heading in the right direction with back-to-back Premiership wins (Livingston H, Motherwell A).

  3. Naismith 'knows what to expect' from Leveinpublished at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Hearts v St Johnstone (15:00)

Hearts manager Steven Naismith on going up his old colleague Craig Levein: "I know what to expect from him because I've worked closely with and had some really good times learning from him.

"Today being in the opposite dugout doesn't make much of a difference. You have your own routine and objectives and that's what I'm fully focused on."

  4. Levein relishes Tynecastle returnpublished at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Hearts v St Johnstone (15:00)

Hearts manager Craig Levein: "I loved my time at Hearts and I love coming back. I did a lot of the games for the BBC last year and it's great to come back to watch Hearts.

"We're running through a process of trying to improve certain things and use those as part of a ladder. One step at a time to see if we can get up the league table.

"Defensively we've been fairly good. And I think in a playing sense and trying to pass the ball we've made strides. But this is a hard place to come and get points."

  5. Green Brigade make appearance at Celtic Parkpublished at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Celtic v Motherwell (15:00)

They're banned from the stadium but that didn't stop members of the Celtic 'ultras' group the Green Brigade gathering outside.

They brought their flags, banners and, sadly, pyrotechnics, to the top of the Celtic Way to welcome the team bus as it arrived shortly before 1.30pm.

They sang their songs as the players walked from the bus to the front door but, as with Celtic's last home game against Aberdeen, they're not allowed in for the football, with the club making a stand against what it calls a "serious escalation in unacceptable behaviour" from the group.

  6. 'Huge, huge task' for Motherwellpublished at 14:51 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Celtic v Motherwell (15:00)

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Sportsound: "It's a huge, huge task. We have to be a certain version of ourselves to get something out of this game, that explains one or two of the changes.

"[Calum Butcher in midfield] is something that could happen throughout the game. He's flexible, he can play in a couple of different positions.

"This isn't where we're judged, I understand that, but you can come out of the other side of this as a better player and a better team."

  7. Celtic 'can't relax' - Rodgerspublished at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Celtic v Motherwell (15:00)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Sportsound: "We can't relax today, we have to attack the game for 90-odd minutes and look to see our quality come through.

On his team news, Rodgers adds: "[Luis Palma] and [Alistair Johnston] only got back yesterday, they've travelled a long way.

"I would've taken Luis out as well, but he misses Tuesday because he's suspended."

  8. 'VAR is a good thing, it's just about getting decisions right'published at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Dundee v Hibernian (15:00)

Dundee manager Tony Doherty has been talking to BBC Sportsound and starts with the VAR independent review panel's admission that his club have been on the end of two incorrect decisions this season.

"Now that it's been made public, the fact that two of [the three decisions deemed incorrect] are ours is bitterly disappointing. What's more disappointing is that we appealed the Josh Mulligan one and didn't win the appeal. We move on and I believe it'll even itself out over the season.

"As managers, coaches, fans we all just want to get things right. I think VAR is a good thing, it's just about getting decisions right.

"I've been really happy with the level of performance all season. Both teams are unchanged for a reason, we'll need to be at our best today to win."

  9. 'Being in this position, it does not feel abnormal'published at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    St Mirren v Livingston (15:00)

Livingston boss David Martindale told BBC Sportsound: "I think when you look at league positions you are looking at 12th position but when you look at the points there is nothing in it.

"For us it is about trying to win a couple of games, get a bit of consistency behind us. I knew it was going to be a difficult season but that is what you get at a club our size.

"Being in this position, it does not feel abnormal. We are frustrated but it is us who can change that and we are capable of doing it.

"It is also about getting your best players on the park. I haven't had the consistent back three that I want.

"We started the season well and we were very difficult to beat and I know what we have got in the changing room but it is about getting those relationships on the pitch.

"I have always been two or three positions light so it is now about getting our best players on the park."

    Dundee v Hibernian (15:00)

Only Rangers (eight) and Celtic (seven) have kept more clean sheets this season than Dundee (six), with five of those coming in their last six league matches.

Hibs have only lost once in the league since Nick Montgomery took over in mid-September, at Ibrox, but there have been an awful lot of draws, including a 0-0 at home to Dundee.

After edging out Kilmarnock at Easter Road, the visitors are looking for back-to-back league wins for the first time since March.

  11. Postpublished at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Ross County v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Can the return of Derek Adams get Ross County going?

If the new, old boss could have hand picked the opposition, he might have plumped for Kilmarnock, given their struggles on the road.

Killie have two points from six away games this term and their 19 away defeats since the start of last season is the most of any club in the division.

They have lost their last three league visits to Dingwall.

Confidence may be low at County, given they haven't won anywhere since early September, but guess who that was against? Yes, they're the only team to have taken maximum points at Kilmarnock this term.

  12. Postpublished at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    St Mirren v Livingston (15:00)

With a run of one point from three games, St Mirren are in danger of being reeled back in by the Premiership peloton.

A 4-0 defeat at Dundee was a real shock but the Paisley side have been solid on their own patch ever since Stephen Robinson arrived.

Only Celtic (18) and Rangers (12) have scored more home goals than St Mirren (11 from six games).

Livingston have lost their way with five defeats in a row.

David Martindale's side could really do with a lift but they haven't managed a league win over the Buddies in 11 attempts (L5 D6).

  13. Postpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Celtic v Motherwell (15:00)

Last time, Celtic celebrated 50 home games unbeaten in the league with a 6-0 thumping of Aberdeen.

Motherwell haven't beaten anyone since early September and they haven't got the better of the champions in the the past 29 meetings in all competitions (W25 D4).

    Hearts v St Johnstone (15:00)

One of the biggest questions today will be how the Hearts fans respond to Craig Levein being in the opposition dugout.

He was undoubtedly a fans favourite as a player but it's fair to say his second stint as manager ended under a cloud.

He has rejuvenated St Johnstone's fortunes in his two matches and has given hope to a team that looked destined for the drop a few weeks ago.

Hearts though will be out to follow up their impressive win away at Motherwell and Steven Naismith will be looking for his team to begin this busy run of games until the new year with three points.

  15. Adams changes two for County; McKenzie captains on first start of seasonpublished at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Ross County v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Returning Ross County manager Derek Adams names his first Staggies side in nine years - and changes just two from the side that lost 1-0 to St Johnstone, and ultimately cost Malky Mackay his job.

Victor Loturi and Jordan White drop to the bench, replaced by James Brown and Josh Sims, who returns from injury.

Kilmarnock captain Kyle Vassell has lost his fitness race and must make do with a place on the bench. His replacement takes the armband on his first start of the season - Rory McKenzie.

The only other Killie change comes with Brad Lyons missing out. The Northern Irishman is suspended and replaced by international team-mate Matty Kennedy.

  16. Ayunga returns for Saints; triple change for Martindalepublished at 14:28 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    St Mirren v Livingston (15:00)

St Mirren make two changes to the side that lost 4-0 to Dundee before the international break. Mark O'Hara and Jonah Ayunga come into the starting line-up as Keanu Baccus and Ryan Strain drop out.

Ayunga gets his first start for the Saints since January after being sidelined with a nasty injury.

Bottom of the table Livingston make three changes to his team that was beaten 2-0 by Rangers. Cristian Montano, Luiyi de Lucas and Mohammed Sangare drop out. Jason Holt, Michael Nottingham and Kurtis Guthrie come in.

  17. Grant in for Hearts; three Saints changespublished at 14:26 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Hearts v St Johnstone (15:00)

Hearts boss Steven Naismith makes just the one change from the win against Motherwell before the international break.

Jorge Grant comes into midfield in place of Calem Nieuwenhof, who drops to the bench.

St Johnstone make three enforced changes, meanwhile. Nicky Clark drops out with injury, while James Brown and Graham Carey do not make the bench either.

In comes Dara Costelloe after suspension, along with Max Kucheriavyi, and Stevie May.

  18. Both sides unchanged at Denspublished at 14:24 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Dundee v Hibernian (15:00)

Tony Docherty has unsurprisingly gone with the same Dundee team that swept aside St Mirren 4-0 two weeks ago.

Scott Tiffoney and Josh Mulligan are back in the squad to provide options off the bench.

Hibs boss Nick Montgomery has also named an unchanged starting XI from the 1-0 win over Kilmarnock before the international break.

Christian Doidge returns to the matchday squad after recovering from a groin problem.

One Celtic change from the line-up that started a fortnight ago in the 6-0 thrashing they dished out to Aberdeen.

The switch is at right-back as Anthony Ralston replaces Alistair Johnston, who clocked up a fair few miles on international duty.

Summer signing Marco Tilio features on the Celtic bench for the first time.

There are two changes for Motherwell following their home defeat to Hearts two weeks ago.

They are are at the back as strikers Conor Wilkinson and Theo Bair drop out for Bevis Mugabi and Brodie Spencer.

With six recognised defenders on the pitch, it is difficult to work out a formation for the visitors - Calum Butcher in midfield, perhaps?

  20. Adams back at the helm for Highlanderspublished at 14:19 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2023

    Ross County v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Here's another old face on familiar turf...

Derek Adams' last match in charge of Ross County was a 2-1 defeat against Dundee United back in August 2014.

He begins his third stint as Staggies manager today after leaving Morecambe.
