The game has been rather scrappy in the last five minutes, with neither side able to hold onto the ball for long.

A real cagey opening to the game, which will suit Tanya Oxtoby's side.

Northern Ireland 0-0 Republic of Ireland

A promising passage of play from Northern Ireland results in Rebecca Halloway's looping effort sailing over the crossbar.

Lauren Wade and Nadene Caldwell both delivered fine crosses in the build-up after good hold-up play from Simone Magill, but the Republic managed to clear both deliveries.

Tanya Oxtoby will be encouraged by that attack.

The Caragh Hamilton-Katie McCabe battle has been good value in the early stages.

Simone Magill is pivotal to how Northern Ireland play. We saw that with her performance again, she got player of the match on Friday evening and two goals.

It's not just the goals that Simone provides, it's the link-up play and bringing others into the game and helps to create opportunities. A fantastic player for us and hopefully she can bag a couple of goals tonight.

We've just had a moment of history.

We know that the Republic of Ireland have been at the World Cup and they want to continue to build on that momentum. They have big household names in the likes of Katie McCabe and Lucy Quinn and it's going to be tough opposition for our team.

Northern Ireland are starting to build that momentum themselves and obviously got the result against Albania and anything can happen.

It was good fun filming with Rebecca Holloway and Lucy Quinn ahead of the international window as they talked about their relationship in football.

Lucy got the bragging rights after the game in Dublin, which left Rebecca "fuming", so there will be no love lost as the Northern Ireland defender looks to settle the score.

It's clear both will do everything they can to win, so it will be interesting if they get the chance to get head-to-head this evening.

Both start this evening so it's certainly possible.
