Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to TNT Sports after the game: "We were organised and committed to the task. In the first half we were really organised and we blocked the game.

"We missed a bit of the ball and the pressing of Arsenal we could not deal with in the second half.

"Disappointed with the way we conceded, but in the end we tried but we should have done more."

On the Gabriel Jesus' opening goal: "It was a throw in and we should have covered the inside and not allow them to go inside - we should have defended better."

On players fitness: “Chris Wood was not 100%.

“Taiwo Awoniyi is just coming back and we have to minimise his minutes but he did well - surprising he scored but it is a positive.

"Having Anthony Elanga back on the pitch is a positive and we have more options for the future."

On the atmosphere this evening: "We can not thank them enough how they support the team.

"We should have gave more, but that comes from us - we cannot thank them enough."

  2. 'The team was excellent today'published at 22:36 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January

    FT: Nottingham Forest 1-2 Arsenal

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC 5 Live after the game: "Two very difficult experiences [against Nottingham Forest] and last season against them was the day we could have been champions so I had that in my tummy.

"But I think the team was excellent today and we was really dominant. We did not concede nothing till the 90th minute and after we had to suffer a bit.

"Obviously Nottingham Forest took some chances and took some risks as they brought in some really strong attacking players.

"We did not defend the goal well and we are disappointed with that as we wanted another clean sheet."

On the building momentum: "We have to generate some momentum.

"We have to prepare well as it is going to be a big game [facing Liverpool next at the weekend]."

  3. 'Good to get some momentum'published at 22:34 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January

    FT: Nottingham Forest 1-2 Arsenal

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking to TNT Sports after the game. On Nottingham Forest's goalscorer Taiwo Awoniyi: "Awoniyi is a real threat and obviously with the deep block they have spaces in behind you.

"He is a really dangerous player and he also scored at the Emirates and again today."

On the win: "Good to get some momentum we was good against Crystal Palace and we have generated momentum with a really strong performance.

"We had to be really patient but have the intention to hurt them all the time and we did that."

"We need different tools and we need to find the right moment when we have the chances.

"In positional play we had a lot of chances but we didn't convert them.

"Against this team at home I have seen a lot of teams that have suffered, I am pleased with the performance and winning the game."

On Gabriel Jesus: "We really need him at his best and I had a good feeling before the game.

    "He was magnificent today."

On speaking to Oleksandr Zinchenko after the game: "That is him pushing each other and that he is not happy conceding I have to promote it in the right way - after the game it is emotional.

"I love that the players are demanding excellence."

On facing Liverpool next: "We have some momentum, we put in a strong performance.

"We have massive game against top of the table."

  4. 'Clear signs of a group giving everything for the cause'published at 22:32 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January

    FT: Fulham 0-0 Everton

    Everton

Everton manager Sean Dyche, speaking to Match of the Day, said: "I'm pleased, we're a bit stretched at the moment, but there was maximum effort and maximum mentality. It was a ding-dong affair, both sides had chances and we are asking a lot of these players but they delivered.

"If you can't win, get a clean sheet and a point and we did that.

"A good 0-0, if there is such a thing, but we're stretched and asking a lot of them, even from players that are not totally match fit. The group are giving everything, supported by a fantastic fan base. There is a lot of work to do but clear signs of a group giving everything for the cause, even when we have a lot of injuries."

On Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto missing chances: "It would be more of a concern if they're not having chances, they will go in."

  5. 'The goals are going to come'published at 22:30 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January

    FT: Fulham 0-0 Everton

    Fulham

Fulham manager Marco Silva, speaking to Match of the Day: "Really intense, chances in both ends but we are the most dominating, more on the front foot, had more shots, more corners than them, unfortunately we didn't score a goal to win.

"The players gave everything. When you're playing against a side that their away form is really good, in the second half we completely pushed them back and did not give them anything in the counter attack.

"I have to say the goals are going to come. We cannot keep creating chances and not score. The decision making has to be better and be calm enough to make the right decisions. The decision making is having a big impact when you arrive in so many dangerous situations and we have to do better to score more goals."

On injuries to Raul Jimenez and Issa Diop: "Both come out with issues in their hamstrings and it does not look a good thing. It's normal when you play in seven days three games, really intense ones all of them. These type of things can happen when you're short and can't rotate players between games - the schedule didn't help us."

  6. 'It was a blackout'published at 22:28 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January

    FT: Luton 4-0 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We did not play. It was a blackout. We have to remember this day.

"We played badly, not one player played well, and our substitutes too. Everyone has to take responsibility.

"Luton played a great game. We knew how difficult this game would be. I feel sorry for the fans. We are all responsible, myself first of all.

"We are suffering from this result more than people can think."

On whether his team have to respond: "Of course."

  7. 'Pretty good from start to finish'published at 22:25 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January

    FT: Luton 4-0 Brighton

    Luton Town

Luton manager Rob Edwards, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "All of it was pretty good from start to finish.

"We’ve done that to quite a few teams. It’s how we play. With a result and performance like this, a few people might take notice of it a little bit more.

"I feel, we feel, the best way for us to go in this league is to attack.

"We’re going to keep driving [the players]. There were bits where we were sloppy. We have to keep our foot down. We can't afford to stop because we’re not good enough to do that."

On Elijah Adebayo: "I'm delighted for Elijah. He’s a very difficult player to play against. We're very thankful that we’ve got him, but there were several good performances out there tonight."

On Tom Lockyer's pre-match appearance: "Great to see. Really important for the supporters to see as well. It probably helped getting five or 10% out of the crowd at the start."

  8. 'You dream of nights like this'published at 22:24 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January

    FT: Luton 4-0 Brighton

    Luton Town

Luton striker Elijah Adebayo, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “It’s a fantastic night. This group’s special. I’m delighted with how everyone performed tonight.

“I could go through the whole team, everyone that’s been a part of this journey – including Locks, who was here tonight. The whole 11 was fantastic, and the subs that came on.

“The gaffer said we need to start sharply and get the first goal. From then it’s always going to be difficult to carry on, but credit to the lads for doing that. It was just about getting more [goals] and making it a comfortable night.

“Through my whole career, you dream of nights like this, playing non-league. For many of us who have been on such a journey, we thrive and wish for nights like this. I couldn’t be happier for the group of lads that are in there, who have been on an incredible journey.”

  9. 'Olise and Eze were unplayable'published at 22:23 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January

FT: Crystal Palace 3-2 Sheffield United

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

When you've got Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze on the pitch, you've got the X Factor.

If they were playing for Sheffield United, they would have won the game.

Olise and Eze are the two difference makers, you saw how the game changed when they went off and Sheffield United grew in confidence.

I don't think it was a bad performance from Sheffield United, they just caught Palace on a day where their two superstars were unplayable.

  10. 'If I get a good chance I'm going to take it'published at 22:21 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January

FT: Crystal Palace 3-2 Sheffield United

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace goalscorer Eberechi Eze to Premier League Productions: "I think they started sharp and whenever you're not up for it at the start you'll give the other team chances. But the boys did well to get the three points.

"We've got the ability and creativity in the team to get chances and score goals. We did well today.

"Whenever Michael [Olise] has the ball he's looking for the pass, I just got a good foot on it. The second one, if I get a good chance, I'm going to take it.

"I enjoy playing with him [Olise] because he's a top player. There's loads of other players in the team working hard to give us that space.

"I feel like there's loads to learn from this. We can't concede goals like that, especially at home. But that should give us confidence. We can create chances."

A late change by Eddie Howe as Anthony Gordon is replaced by Emil Krafth.

Seconds left and Krafth probably won't even touch the ball.

Into the final four minutes of the nine added on and I think the most optimistic Aston Villa fan would concede that this game is now gone, even if they score again.
