    Tottenham 3-2 Brentford

Destiny Udogie is an exciting player but I'm not sure he's a full-back. He's been involved in everything at both ends tonight.

    Man City 3-0 Burnley

Another chance for Haaland who can't quite connect with Julian Alvarez's looping cross. He slams a fist against the turf in frustration.

Ozzy: Udogie is the best left back in the league by a mile. Fantastic signing.

Nicholas: I'm convinced supporting Spurs has taken years off my life through stress. Can't say it's boring at least.

    Man City 3-0 Burnley

Bums come off seats as Erling Haaland latches on to a ball over the top. But he's expertly pressured into a cul-de-sac by Hjalmar Ekdal and then he trips himself up by not connecting with the ball when trying to hammer a shot at goal.

    Awkward.

Liverpool have been red hot and played with such intensity, looking at Chelsea you would probably think they would have to spend half a billion pounds on the team.

In fairness it is easy to criticise Chelsea, but Liverpool's press has been so good - the longer the half has gone on Chelsea have lacked belief.

That is one of the best Liverpool performances I have seen this season.

Dan: Connor Bradley looks like a right sided Andy Robertson. What a player he’s going to be..

Kevin: Conor Bradley showing Joe Gomez how it's done.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 76 mins

    Tottenham 3-2 Brentford

They're bringing on a defender, that's wise. Oh no, hang on that's Brentford making a change. Kristoffer Ajer and Josh Dasilva are on for Nathan Collins and Mads Roerslev.

Spurs are sticking with a 2-8 formation.

  8. Postpublished at 81 mins

    Man City 3-0 Burnley

Julian Alvarez, on a hat-trick, has barely had a sniff this half.

City come forward through Jérémy Doku but the Belgian can't feed Alvarez and another chance goes begging.

Anon: Darwin Nunez has to be the most unlucky player in the league....woodwork always...Suarez in his first season was like that though..

Eddie: Darwin Nunez has to be one of the most mystifying players in recent PL history.

Scott: Are Liverpool going to break the record for the most woodwork strikes in a game?

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 79 mins

    Man City 3-0 Burnley

More changes. Jack Grealish replaces Phil Foden for City.

And Burnley's Anass Zaroury is on for Wilson Odobert.

  11. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Tottenham 3-2 Brentford

Spurs have made 59 entries into the Brentford final third. I'm not always one for a stat but that is an awful lot! James Maddison is the latest to have a shot that deflects wide.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January

    Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea

Liverpool blew Chelsea away in that first half and should be leading by far more than two goals.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 77 mins

    Man City 3-0 Burnley

Ederson and Connor Roberts clash in the penalty area. There's some handbags and both players get shown a yellow.

I think Roberts started things, barging into John Stones off the ball, but Ederson reacted by charging into the Burnley substitute.

    Why?

If that penalty had gone in, you would probably be saying it's game over.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Mudryk or someone come on. Pochettino has got to do something.

  15. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Tottenham 3-2 Brentford

All of a sudden it's Brentford who look the most dangerous as a far-post cross is miscontrolled by Vitaly Janelt as he looked to get a shot off.

    Are you not entertained?!

Megan: Say whatever you want about Nunez but he is trying. Every match he's involved in the box and helping to put pressure on the opponent's defence. He keeps his head down and puts in a shift and that's why he's a blast to watch as a neutral.

    Jane: Nunez, penalty, why??

  17. Postpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January

Luckily for Liverpool Conor Gallagher slips on the edge of the box when he could pass or shoot and the chance is gone.

Chelsea have their first shot of the whole game but Enzo Fernandez can't finish.

There was a huge cheer when Erling Haaland came on for Kevin de Bruyne.

He has just over 20 minutes to make an impact.

    I wonder if he will.
