Brentford will end the night four points above the drop zone and they have lost 23 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season, more than any other team.

    That's a huge amount.

    What a goal that is.

That is just a textbook goal. What a switch of play that is to Bradley. He holds his width really well and pays an early ball in.

The finish is superb. That is as good a goal as you will see.

Liverpool wrap this game up thanks to a second assist from Conor Bradley.

Virgil van Dijk plays a brilliant crossfield diagonal to Bradley, who leaves a defender in his wake before crossing for Dominik Szoboszlai, who heads home.

Manchester City goalscorer Rodri to BBC Match of the Day: "I think we started very good. We didn't give them options. The third goal in the second half, very early, allowed us to play more at the very end."

On Julian Alvarez's goals: "I'm so happy for him. What a good way to celebrate his birthday. He's been brilliant this season. Of course, he's a goalscorer.

"We need everyone, I am very happy for Erling [Haaland] to come back, John [Stones] also, Kevin [De Bruyne] as well. We need all of them. We are stronger when we are all together."

If you’re one of the people wondering why Sterling isn’t in the England squad, watch this game. Terrible decision making and so, so slow to pass.

I suppose the question for Liverpool is can they keep up the intensity with the press?

That was like one of my finishes, Malo Gusto does really well and crosses the ball into Mykhailo Mudryk who does not get his feet sorted out - a poor finish high into the stands.

Chelsea's best chance of the game but I can't say I really expected Mykhailo Mudryk to score based on what I've seen of him in a blue shirt. The Ukrainian, unmarked in the box, skies a shot from 12 yards.
