I don't think there is any malice in that at all.

It was one of those ones where Calvert-Lewin stretches to get the ball, but as he does so he clips Nathaniel Clyne across the shins. His leg is quite high and above the ball, over the top of it.

I'm not quite sure, it doesn't look great in slow motion. I'm on the fence with this one.

There's boos at Selhurst Park as replays of the tackle is shown on the big screen.

And the referee has given his verdict. It's a red card for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Everton players can't believe, the fans can't believe it and neither can Sean Dyche.

The stadium announcement says "checking red card" as we've gone to VAR and it's for that tackle from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

It would be very harsh as he has got his eyes fully on the ball, wins it, but his studs are high.

He could be in trouble because the referee has been sent to the pitchside monitor.

Great work from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, sliding in to win the ball off Nathaniel Clyne on the edge of the box.

He lays it off to Dwight McNeil but Jack Harrison is then closed down as he tries to get a shot off.

What a chance! It's wasted by Everton as Joachim Anderson's poor ball is cut-out by James Tarkowski.

Everton can then break through the middle but it ends with Arnaut Danjuma's shot going straight into Dean Henderson's arms.

Here come the first changes.

Matheus Franca, making his first start for Palace, has shown flashes of what he can do but he's replaced by Naouirou Ahamada.

Will Hughes is also on for Jeffrey Schlupp.

Everton have been the more positive side in this second half.

They have just started to raise the tempo and cause Palace some problems, been far more energetic in the last few minutes.

Dwight McNeil chips in a clear ball from the left but Dean Henderson reacts to punch it away.

It was a really good position there that Onana took in the box, but the only issue is that the header back from Tarkowski looped quite high.

Onana had Franca covering defensively and nudging into him so he was always off balance and wasn't able to get over the ball.

It does feel the pressure is building from Everton. James Garner tries to play it in early for Dwight McNeil but his cross is blocked for a throw-in deep in Palace's half.

Everton are starting to get more and more crosses into the Palace penalty area. It feels like they're starting to get the upper hand in the match at the moment.

Everton get another corner at the other end when Joachim Anderson skews a clearance.

It's headed back into the middle by James Tarkowski at the back post but Amadou Onana is stretching when he nods it over.

One for VAR to look at...

Jarrad Branthwaite clips Jefferson Lerma and he goes down wanting a penalty. It's right on the edge of the box but the referee doesn't see a problem and neither does VAR.

Everton win back-to-back corners but can't capitalise as Amadou Onana's header bounces harmlessly wide.

This is a chance.

Nathaniel Clyne loses the ball to Dwight McNeil on the left. He plays it through to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and he escapes with his pace.

Calvert-Lewin's through on goal, though the angle is tight, but he drags a tame effort at Dean Henderson.

Palace have a free-kick on the left.

It's sent in towards Joachim Anderson who almost heads it in at the back post but it's bundled away by Dominic Calvert-Lewin and João Virgínia.

Jeffrey Schlupp's shot on the rebound is blocked.

JamesTheBrummie: Two closely matched teams who are struggling towards the bottom. It's been just how I'd expect it to be.

Sean Dyche gives his assistants a nod to come over for a chat. Roy Hodgson has sent a few players out to warm-up too.

It's not been any different from the first half really. Still waiting for this game to come to life.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin's cross is aimed towards Dwight McNeil but it's away from Joachim Anderson.

Everton's bench feels stronger. They have Beto and Andre Gomes who can come on and provide some creativity.

James Garner is trying to make something happen here but Palace are standing firm.
