I like the staggered kick offs tonight but it's made it difficult to know when to do the last clean-up here at work. Don't tell anyone right.

    Brentford 1-0 Wolves

Free-kick for Brentford right on the edge of the box. Jose Sa is trying to organise his wall and Neal Maupay stands right in front of him.

Sa just shoves him out of the way so he can still see the wall and VAR do another quick check to see if he deserves punishment for it.

Thankfully, nothing comes of it and the free-kick is struck straight into the wall, which was eventually formed.

  3. 'Purely accidental from Ramsey'published at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Tottenham 0-0 Burnley

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

That was purely accidental from Ramsey.

He tried to do a drag back and his foot ends up coming down high on Lo Celso. No intent in that.

    Brentford 1-0 Wolves

Pedro Neto turns on the magic immediately. He spins, twists and tries a few flicks to get past three players on the right but the ball's gone out of play.

    Tottenham 0-0 Burnley

Another VAR check. Aaron Ramsey tries a Maradona turn to get away from Giovani Lo Celso and there's studs on the leg again.

    Nothing comes of it.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

Here's Pedro Neto for Wolves. Can he help turn things around? He's coming on for Pablo Sarabia.

We can't axe VAR, what would people do with their lives if it wasn't complaining about VAR all the time?

    Tottenham 0-0 Burnley

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Watching the replay Amdouni is miles onside, he is played on by two people.

Once the ball gets to him, put your foot through it. I don't know what he was doing there! A great opportunity missed.

Ahh, this would have been lovely. Zeki Amdouni is flagged offside when he's cleverly flicked in and he is able to turn and shoot from close range. He ends up blasting it high anyway.

VAR is not the problem. The laws of the game and the standard of refereeing in interpreting those laws is what is killing the game. Release the audio for every game, and we'll see how consistent the officials are in what they decide.

Josh Dasilva is teed up by Mathias Jensen but he slices it wide. There was plenty of power on the strike but it was a way off in the end.

  12. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Tottenham 0-0 Burnley

Burnley keeper Arijanet Muric has tried to play out from the back a few times and it's just not working.

His throw is intercepted and Dejan Kulusevski is almost slid in by Richarlison. Josh Cullen has to intervene.

  13. 'Rotherham are still in it'published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    HT: Fulham 1-0 Rotherham

    Ronnie Moore
Ex-Rotherham manager on BBC 5 Sports Extra

Rotherham are still in the game, that's the big thing.

They can be reasonably pleased in how they've played, not as an attacking force but defending wise they've done very so well., kept the shape well and been organised. They need to keep the ball better but they have worked hard.

They've worked hard, the shape is good and we've limited them to very few chances.

But Fulham never looked like scoring until we gave it away. It was a simple little pass into Sebastian Revan who gave the ball away and Bobby De Cordova-Reid came on to it and smashed it right foot into the top corner. It was a great finish.

You've got to be brave on the ball and be responsible when you get it, you've got to do the right things in the right areas.

For me, we're still in the game. It's 1-0, we've got half a chance so fingers crossed, we're still in it.

  14. CLOSE!published at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Brentford 1-0 Wolves

Pablo Sarabia is picked out at the near post by Matt Doherty but he flicks it just over the bar. A great chance for Wolves!

I'm a Wolves fan. Just looked at the replays of the red card. Gomes really didn't need to make that challenge. May have been no intent but I can see why he was sent off. Hopefully we will have enough quality to pull it back second half. Doyle has really stepped up to the plate. Keep at it Wolves.

    Mick, Wales

The sense of surprise over inconsistencies in VAR decisions actually baffles me. Referee decisions before VAR still had degrees of inconsistency and while VAR is helpful in reviewing things a second time over, the final call is still subject to human interpretation on any given day. So to say this is a reason to axe it wouldn't be progressive.

Re Chris at 20.09. So if a players career is ended by a 19 year old player fouling him then the 19 year old can never play again!? What if players are injured by fair tackles. Clearly never played the game.

You can see Vincent Kompany trying to get his team to settle, but they can't because the tempo of the Tottenham attack is not letting them.

They need to get a few touches of the ball. Interestingly Muric is going long from goal kicks, which is unusual for Burnley who we know like to play out from the back. That won't help them build up a spell of possession.

No red card. VAR check is over.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Tottenham 0-0 Burnley

Josh Cullen comes sliding in on Giovani Lo Celso and he's caught him late. There's a yellow card because of it.

VAR are having a look to check if there's anything more serious to it...
