The resulting corner is collected by Andre Onana in the end.

Another big chance comes and goes for United.

A cross ends up falling for Scott McTominay, who has time and space to find the far corner, but he's a little hesitant and Liam Morrison deflects his effort behind.

United are just casually passing the ball around, largely in their defensive third, at the moment.

There isn't a great urgency or intent to get that second goal at the moment.

Wigan are really tight and close defensively. They cannot afford to concede again because you would think that would be game done.

Raphael Varane is down and holding his face as Thelo Aasgaard's hand catches him.

I don't think there was any intent there.

Anthony Taylor doesn't think so anyway and with no VAR then Aasgaard will face no punishment.

Out of nowhere, Wigan are in the United box.

United switch off at a throw in and Thelo Aasgaard is able to get in behind the Reds defence.

He drills a cross into the box but Martial Godo is unable to control and United clear.

Wigan have come out in the second half in exactly the same shape and structure. It might get to the 60 minute mark until things change. They need to keep it tight and stay in the game.

As I say that one ball cuts Wigan in half.

The Reds captain opens his body up, trying to curl into the far corner, but his effort is blocked.

A scrappy few minutes with United intent on keeping possession but not showing a particular urgency or desire to break through the lines.

What have Wigan got for us in the second half and can they turn this around? The second half started as the first ended with United dominating the ball and Marcus Rashford shooting just wide.

But, while it remains 1-0, Wigan fans, players and coaching staff will still believe they can do something sensational.
