Time for us to call it a day.

It's been another fantastic weekend of WSL action with wins for Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Leicester and Arsenal.

We'll be back on Tuesday for Chelsea's trip to Paris FC in the Women's Champions League.

See you then. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  2. 'There's plenty of positives that we can take from the game'published at 18:59 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    FT: Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Matt Beard speaking to Sky Sports: "The [first] goal changed the game for us today. It was a good strike... There's positives that we can take. The last two games [v Man City and Arsenal] were always going to be challenging and testing. The performance was a lot better.

"I felt we could have been braver going forward. We got in good positions, broke the press, and then went back. They are learning curves for us.

"First half I thought we maybe had the better chances, the more clear-cut chances anyway, to score. Against these types of teams you need to take them. We are frustrated and disappointed to have lost the game but now we need to focus on a run of games where we feel like we can pick points up."

On having the better chances: "Definitely. I think the one at the end of the first half and Mia's [Enderby] at the end there too. Miedema's goal was a worldie. We can't allow her to turn and have that sort of space to shoot. When she receives the ball we have to get tight and get the block in.

"We were a little bit too open from that point, we were trying to get back into the game, but that happens sometimes.

On taking the next step as a team: "It is about getting forward and stretching the opposition to create the space for the midfielders and forwards, or getting in behind them too. If you look at how well we defended in the first half, forcing Arsenal to go around us, [by comparison] it was a little too open towards the back end of the second half.

On the work-rate of the team: "Niamh Fahey was outstanding, she has been patient to get back into the team and was excellent today. Sometimes you have uncharacteristic performances, and one thing we demand when that happens is to have that work ethic. If you keep doing the right things you never know what could happen."

  3. 'Miedema's goal opened the game'published at 18:55 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    FT: Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall, speaking to Sky Sports: "I think we were good on the ball. We always knew the first goal was going to be hard with Liverpool working so hard, trying to be so compact, trying to defend with so many players. We created a lot of almost chances before that. After that goal the game opened up."

On Vivianne Miedema's return: "This is what people have to remember and I've tried to stress that point before. Return to play comes in many different phases, one thing is when you're physically ready to go on the pitch for the first time, that doesn't mean you're ready with your decision-making, with your technique, with your self-confidence. That takes a bit longer to build. How long is individual. It's really nice Viv feels that way [like she's more herself] and it showcased on the pitch as well."

On Emily Fox: "It looks like she's played with us forever. It's hard to remember she's only been with us this month, she's integrated very well. I think today was her strongest performance so far. I think she's phenomenal.

"She should have a lot of credit for doing that because it's hard coming in as a new player but she has some really good qualities. It also comes to organisational matters to help her relocate, the playing squad to make her feel welcome and build relationships. A lot of people work to help her integrate that well."

On when Leah Williamson could return in the WSL: "Not long, she played in the Conti Cup and did that very well. Today I thought it was a bit more tricky to make a sub in the centre of defence. A new opportunity next weekend."

On the title race with Chelsea still left to play: "There's a lot of football left to be played and we look forward to that."

  5. 'Fox has settled in well'published at 18:51 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    FT: Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal

    Arsenal

More from Arsenal forward Vivianne Miedema, talking to Sky Sports, about Emily Fox: "She has been good, settled in well. She is good at driving forward with the ball, playing passes in behind, making switches of play. She likes to play football. If I'm not wrong she assisted me for the goal as well today."

On her and Beth Mead's documentary 'Step by Step': "[Why watch it?] I am funny in it and I am actually not that funny - it is something we did to create more awareness around the ACL injuries. More and more are happening, Jill Roord this week, Sam Kerr in training camp [before the league resumed]. We feel that it is our responsibility as players to raise more awareness, and I think Beth and I have helped in that sense [with this documentary]. "

  6. 'The fans are something special'published at 18:49 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    FT: Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal

    Arsenal

Arsenal defender Emily Fox, speaking to Sky Sports, on what she puts slotting into the team so quickly down to: "My team-mates, coaches, staff. Coming here and being welcomed so easily and fitting right in. The amount of people that came so far is amazing, I know it's pretty far. I feel I owe it to my teammates and coaches."

On taking her game to the next level with Arsenal: "I feel like coming to Arsenal, the way we want to play is really exciting. We're happy with this win but we'll learn from all we can and move on to the next game."

On the away supporters at Prenton Park: "As soon as we stepped onto the pitch they were screaming, cheering, all the chants. It really is something special and something I've never experienced before. We appreciate it so much."

On the talent coming back to the team with Vivianne Miedema, Beth Mead and Leah Williamson's return: "So many talented players on our team. All the girls coming back is so supportive and welcoming. It's really an exciting time."

On competing with Emma Hayes' Chelsea side when Hayes will be her United States manager from next season: "It definitely does have a twist. When we play Chelsea we'll zone in and everything. A unique situation. She's an amazing coach so I'm excited to play against her and hopefully for her."

  7. 'I'm happy to be back and feeling like myself again'published at 18:46 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    FT: Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal

    Arsenal

Arsenal forward Vivianne Miedema speaking to Sky Sports: "Obviously it means a lot. I've been training well recently, I've been feeling like myself again. I am happy to be back playing and it was nice to get the goal."

On her recovery: "It has been pretty tough. I have had a couple of setbacks in my recovery. You want to come back and help the team and get back as quickly as possible. During the winter break I had a shift in mindset and since then I have felt more like myself. I am happy to be back at the point where I can help the team. I can now just move on and focus on myself.

"Coming back from injury some players don't overthink it and I did. I was scared to come back. I feel like the old me again, maybe even better than the old me, I don't think about my knees any more which is good.

On having space for the goal: "Sometimes playing against a deeper block it is about being patient. Wally [Lia Walti] told me if we [the midfield] drop a bit then we will make more space for you. They did and the game opened up more in the second half and I had the space for the shot."
