Shanice van de Sanden has got a thankless job up top for Liverpool.

She is doing a lot of running and chasing but not seeing much of the ball at all.

She can be dangerous for Liverpool though, so she has to keep in it and be ready for a chance.

The TV coverage has just shown a graphic and it showed that 53% of the action in the past 10 minutes has been in Liverpool's defensive third.

Just eight per cent has been in their attacking third.

We've played 25 minutes now and I think you could count the amount of times Liverpool have been in Arsenal's half on one hand.

It's all Arsenal. They are struggling to creates chances though.

Vivianne Miedema is patient and lays off for Victoria Pelova but her right-footed effort is comfortable from Rachael Laws.

    Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal

This game is just lacking that final moment of quality at the moment.

Katie McCabe has acres of space down the right but skews her cross a little bit.

It has Rachael Laws scrambling though and she has to claw behind for a corner.

The set piece comes to nothing.

I think Matt Beard will be happy with the opening 15 minutes, especially because he had the chance to speak to his team in that stoppage earlier, to adjust some things.

He will be urging them to keep being tenacious, don't let Arsenal have it all their own way.

First card of the day goes to Melissa Lawley.

The Liverpool winger looks to stop a quick throw in and Rebecca Welch puts her in the book.

Liverpool deal with the initial corner but Arsenal are able to send the loose ball back into the area.

It gets flicked on to Caitlin Foord at the back post but she's crowded out and the ball goes out for a goal kick.

    Arsenal come again.

Some good passing ends up with Caitlin Foord in space down the left.

    Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal

    It's all Arsenal.

Beth Mead crosses from the right but it's too deep for anyone to get an effort off.

The Gunners recycle it though but a lay-off for Vivianne Miedema is too heavy.

  13. Postpublished at 16:39 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Arsenal are bossing possession at the moment but it is patient build up rather than anything incisive at the moment.

They try to free Beth Mead down the right but she has to cut back and rebuild again.

Let's keep an eye on Caitlin Foord and Grace Fisk. It looks a real battle already.

Both are tugging and grabbing at each others shirt as the Arsenal forward looks to get in behind.

It ends up being a goal kick to Liverpool.

  19. 'Special' to represent Arsenal 100 times - Eidevallpublished at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

    Liverpool v Arsenal (16:30 GMT)

Jonas Eidevall is taking charge of his 100th game as Arsenal boss today.

He's been speaking to Jo Currie about the achievement and what it means to be a Gunner.

"It means a lot," said Eidevall. "It’s special to have been able to represent the club 100 times.

"To be a Gooner for me is to represent the club the Arsenal way, both on and off the pitch.

"You really feel that when you live inside this football club.

"I’ve developed a lot. I don’t think it’s possible to step in the same river twice and I don’t think it’s possible to stay exactly the same person either when you’re inside a club like Arsenal.

"I hope I’ve developed as a person, possibly become a better person for that.

"As a coach I think I use my ears more the more I work here. I work with so many talented players and staff and I need to listen to them."

  20. Supporters make us 'unique' - Eidevallpublished at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January

Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall has been praising their supporters ahead of their trip to Liverpool.

The Gunners have regularly been well attended at home, but also away this season.

“It means a lot,” Eidevall said. “What makes us unique is our supporters. It’s how they fill the Emirates, it’s how they travel in numbers.

“On Wednesday night in the Conti Cup against Reading, all I saw was red and white and all I heard was Gooners. It’s incredible and when I think about what it was like two-and-a-half years ago to where we are now, there’s been incredible movement.

“It’s such a huge part of what we are trying to build here and let’s hope that this is only the beginning and it continues. Usually, it should do that. Once a snowball starts rolling, it goes faster and faster and collects more snow so hopefully, we are building something big.”
