The Times has more on Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer, who collapsed on the pitch during Saturday's match at Bournemouth, as well as Virgil van Dijk's critical comments about Manchester United's defensive approach in their goalless draw at Liverpool.

The Express also leads on the fallout from Anfield, and flags an explosive win for Aston Villa at Brentford, which erupted after former Bees striker Ollie Watkins made a gesture towards a home supporter he later said had been giving him abuse.

Watkins pointed at the Brentford fan after scoring the winner for Villa five minutes from time.

The Star follows the trend, leading on Virgil van Dijk's post-match comments, but also features a piece on Arsenal "goalden boy" Kai Havertz.

The Germany forward has scored four goals in his last seven appearances for the Gunners in all competitions, with his latest helping Mikel Arteta's side to a 2-0 win over Brighton, which moved them back top of the Premier League.

The Mirror reports that former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane branded Virgil van Dijk as "disrespectful" for his comments about the Red Devils' defensive tactics at Anfield.

Keane said the Liverpool defender was "out of order" and had "arrogance coming out of him", adding that the Reds were often pleased to leave Old Trafford with a point during his playing days.

The i also runs with those comments from Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk, underlining his point with a stark statistic from their goalless draw with Manchester United - Red Devils goalkeeper Andre Onana "kept out 34 shots at Anfield".

In fact, only eight of those Liverpool shots were on target, while, at the other end, United mustered just one shot on target.

We start our round-up of today's national newspapers with the Guardian, which features comments from Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, who claimed that "only one team tried to win" after the Reds were held to a goalless draw at home to Manchester United on Sunday.

England captain Harry Kane scored twice in Bayern Munich's 3-0 win over Stuttgart, becoming the fastest player in Bundesliga history to 20 goals by reaching the mark in his 14th match.

As mentioned, all eyes will be on Nyon in Switzerland later this morning for the draws of the knockout stages of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham are sure to be paying full attention as they continue to excel for Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, respectively.

Congratulations to Rangers following their Scottish League Cup final victory over Aberdeen.

Captain James Tavernier scored the only goal on 76 minutes as the Ibrox outfit edged out the Dons to win the competition for the first time in more than 12 years.

The result means manager Philippe Clement, now unbeaten in his first 15 games, has won silverware as Ibrox boss just two months after his appointment.

Aberdeen, who pushed desperately for an equaliser without registering a shot on target, have not won a trophy in nine years since winning this competition in 2014.

But first, our thoughts are with Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer, who remains in hospital undergoing "tests and scans" after suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch during Saturday's Premier League match at Bournemouth.

Luton say the Wales defender "is awaiting the results before the next steps for his recovery are determined".

We wish Tom, his family and everyone connected with Luton Town well.
