Two well-poised first legs turned into foregone conclusions very quickly. Such a shame, it would've been nice to have seen the second legs be a bit more closely contested.

Nice work by Ryan Gravenberch as he gets back to steal possession just as Fulham threatened to build an attack.

It is a shocker of a goal to concede, now it is about focusing and getting the next goal then Fulham can go from there.

They cannot afford to concede another one or it will be game over, I suspect they will still be balanced in their approach.

Nice idea by Darwin Nunez as he gets in-between two Fulham defenders for a lofted ball forward and tries to nod down for Ryan Gravenberch, but the midfielder just can't get to it before the ball bounces behind for a goal kick.

Fulham's players do seem a bit stunned by what has transpired as they are once again struggling to get the ball off a confident Liverpool.

Was on the point of commenting on how brightly Fulham have started and then that... Diabolical from Leno and that's the tie over.

    Daniel

Well that is shocking defending and shocking goalkeeping. Total Sunday league from Fulham.

Harvey Elliott gets into space on the right and sends the ball into the box for Ryan Gravenberch, who can't control the ball before Fulham clear.

So Fulham now need to score twice without reply to take this game to extra time.

It highlights the fine margins of the tie as for a few minutes they looked well in it but now it is a big mountain to climb.

Luis Diaz off the left-hand-side and my first impression is Bernd Leno has had a shocker.

Diaz drives onto the inside and it just squirms under Leno's body.

There is no great pace on the shot, it does take a deflection but Leno has to do much better - a weak right hand.

But just like that Liverpool lead!

Just as it looked like Fulham were going to level this tie on aggregate, Liverpool go 3-1 up overall as Luis Diaz chests a high ball into the box down, cuts inside and whips a shot that takes a deflection on its way into the back of the net.

Could Bernd Leno have done better? Regardless, Liverpool are in control of the tie.

Fulham have really woken up now from their nervous start and they attack with confidence down the left. Antonee Robinson makes a great run on the overlap before whipping the ball in and forcing Caoimhin Kelleher to push away.

A good spell by the hosts.

Marco Silva looks so incredulous that is a huge miss. Joao Palhinha is all on his own, it is a cushion volley and he hits it well over the bar.

    That is a big chance.

    Oh big chance for Fulham!

Their first attack results in them winning the game's first corner. The set-piece delivery finds Joao Palhinha unmarked inside the middle of the box butn he volleys over.

    That was a chance.

Here comes Darwin Nunez on the left. He cuts inside and then sweeps a low effort towards the near post that Bernd Leno dives on.

Is the occasion getting to the Fulham players a bit? They've not had much of the ball but when they have they've quickly given it up with poor passes.

Liverpool remain on the front foot as now Joe Gomez sends the ball into the box.

The clearance is unconvincing as the ball is headed into the air, before ironic cheers fill the air as Harvey Elliott misses his volley.

Liverpool are always fluid in their play and will interchange players. It will be interesting to see how they set up in those forward positions.

In the early stages we will have to see how they both approach this game.

Fulham will have a balance to their game and try to counter-attack, they do have the players which can hurt Liverpool!
