Everton are dominating again but Tottenham are always dangerous on the counter attack.

Everton are still giving this a really good go.

Right Ange, enough is enough, get Hojbjerg off and Sarr on. It’s not funny anymore!

    This game is so open!

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 61 mins

    Everton 1-2 Tottenham

Ben Godfrey is livid as he does so well to get to a pass from Ashley Young before Micky van de Ven. He thinks he's won a corner but doesn't get one and he's in the book for dissent.

Ben Godfrey's headed clearance is straight to James Maddison on the edge of the box.

He struck it sweetly on the half-volley but Jordan Pickford pushes it behind for a corner.

Another example of a defender having to make an unnecessary challenge because the lino's aren't allowed to put their flag up for a player being 5 yards offside. How long is this garbage gonna continue??

More solid defending, this time from Ben Godfrey, who needed to make the interception to block Brennan Johnson's cross reaching Timo Werner in the box.

The flag's gone up as Timo Werner sneaks in behind Everton's defence but can't beat Jordan Pickford when one-on-one anyway.

Guglielmo Vicario deals with the latest corner - Everton's eighth of the match - very comfortably.

Brilliant defending from Micky van de Ven.

Ben Godfrey plays a lovely ball through to Jack Harrison and he races into the box before the Spurs defender slides in to stop him.

The pitch is working wonders. They are playing the ball over the top and holding it up.

Spurs are trying to move the ball quickly. The pitch is not slow, it's sticky. It is not conducive to a team that want to move the ball but it is conducive to a team that want to be direct and put their opponents on the back foot.

Pedro Porro's resulting corner delivery doesn't beat the first man but Tottenham retain possession.

James Maddison cuts it back from the byline but a combination of James Tarkowski and Idrissa Gueye put it behind for another corner.

  16. CLOSE!published at 50 mins

    Everton 1-2 Tottenham

Guglielmo Vicario comes out but only halfway as a long ball threatens to put Jack Harrison in behind.

The Everton winger sees the goalkeeper come out and tries to lob him but it's a pretty terrible effort.

Pedro Porro then goes up the other end and forces Jordan Pickford into a save.

Brian: It's just showing that Ange is tactically a bit inept, every other manager can see Vicario struggles with someone on him put a defender there you score six.

Jon: This reminds me very much of the Conte Spurs games - fairly limp in attack and reliant on the centre forward for moments of brilliance. More directness in attack needed in the second half and have to get Maddison and the wingers into the game more. Also, can you believe we have TWO set piece coaches in Ryan Mason and Mile Jedinak and yet still can’t work deal with a direct cross aimed at the keeper…
