The England camp are getting really fed up with all of the fouls that are being committed. There's been a number of times when play has been stopped by a cynical tackle. Lucas Pacqueta was booked for persistent fouling and Gareth Southgate and Steve Holland have been speaking to the fourth official.

It's quite astonishing that a game with such incredible young talent is absolutely devoid of any quality whatsoever.

It says a lot how Brazil have dominated possession so far. Their front three is scary but look at the midfield: West Ham, Wolves and Newcastle. No disrespect but it's hardly Zico, Socrates and Falcao in there. Given the hype we've been giving our midfield we should be able to control the tempo of this a lot better and transition from defence faster. Is this a case of instructions or is it just that we don't have the right combination of individuals in there?

Re. Jon at 19.26. This seems to come from the same lamentable train of thought as "the Premier League is the best league in the world". I think we're just used to it—do people really think this England squad is one of the best two in Europe? Unlikely.

Brazil attack with real purpose and they have players who thrive off those situations.

As a centre-back you have to scan and pick out the space. The positions Brazil take up are so unusual, playing against them is a real thinking game.

Clever ball over the top from Lucas Paqueta but Rodrygo doesn't make proper contact with his volley and the chance is gone for the away team.
