Haller's goal is a parting gift, a striker's goal. Nigeria's captain maybe could have stuck a leg out himself. You have to give credit to the Ivorian striker for an impressive goal.

Wow. What a noise. I have my colleagues John Bennett and Ian Williams commentating in the seats next to me and I cannot hear them above the thunderous roar of the home crowd. I've also never seen subs run from one length of the field to the other so quick to join in the celebrations!

  5. Postpublished at 21:48 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

Simon Adingra has added a few pounds to his value in this final. The Brighton player has been immense to help Ivory Coast turn it around. The finishing line is in sight.

  6. 'A striker's finish'published at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    Nigeria 1-2 Ivory Coast

    Efan Ekoku
Former Nigeria striker on BBC Three

It's great wing play from Adingra, too much from Ola Aina. It's another fantastic cross from Adingra and it's a striker's finish. Instinctive, he knows where the goal is, sticks his leg out. Adingra has been the man, he's not scored the goal but he's been the most attacking threat, possibly in the whole tournament.

Haller getting the winner would be something magical. I know exactly what he's been through and we're both here to tell our stories.

    Nigeria 1-1 Ivory Coast

    Efan Ekoku
Former Nigeria striker on BBC Three

One player jumping and the other one turning to hold their ground normally ends badly. That's a painful one, very painful one. You can get your leg broken there.

Another stop in play. Victor Osimhen is in the wars again.

  13. 'The force is with Ivory Coast'published at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    Nigeria 1-1 Ivory Coast

    Efan Ekoku
Former Nigeria striker on BBC Three

Adingra does the right thing there heading it back, it's well wide in the end, but I thought Haller's race was run about 15 minutes ago.

The force is with Ivory Coast, that's for sure. Will they be brave enough to push it forward more. Can Emerse Fae make more changes going forward?

Another drinks break with around 15 minutes of normal time left.

Where is this final heading? Extra-time? Penalties?

Or will someone step forward and put their name up in lights in normal time?

  15. CLOSE!published at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

What a story that would have been!

Sébastien Haller, who has battled back from cancer to resume his career, with an acrobatic attempt inside the box but it flashes narrowly wide.

    Nigeria 1-1 Ivory Coast

    Efan Ekoku

Nigeria have spent so much time going forward that when they do get forward, only one or two of them are interested in attacking.

  17. Postpublished at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    Nigeria 1-1 Ivory Coast

    Efan Ekoku
Former Nigeria striker on BBC Three

Emerse Fae has made good substitutions to try and change this game around. He's now made the move to take his captain and second captain off. He removed the bit of danger at right-back and he's also added some threat moving forward.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 21:34 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

Around 20 minutes of normal time left and the Ivory Coast are making changes.

Wilfried Stephane Singo and Oumar Diakite are coming on.

Serge Aurier and the impressive Max Gradel have been replaced.

I've been keeping an eye on Nigeria coach Jose Peseiro who got that yellow card for dissent in the first half. He's still raging. About everything and anything. Despite the technical areas being legitimately big enough to have a game of five-a-side in (I'm having Simon Adingra as first pick) he's still managing to wander out of it. Prowling.
