    It's absolutely bouncing in here.

7,000 Wrexham fans on a Monday night is no mean feat, but the Blackburn fans are playing their part as well.

That was fabulous football from Blackburn.

They will feel they should be ahead.

Many of Sammie Szmodics' 19 goals this season will have come from harder chances than the one he just missed.

  3. CLOSE!published at 4 mins

    Blackburn Rovers 0-0 Wrexham

    Should be 1-0.

    Two big chances!

First, a lovely, lovely move from Blackburn as they play their way through Wrexham with some one-touch stuff, but of all people, it is the in-form Sammie Szmodics who misses the target as the move culminates.

Ben Tozer then clears off the line when Arthur Okonkwo rushes out unwisely.

The first goal will be huge. If Wrexham get the first goal with that support, I think they'll win the game.

If Blackburn get the goal, it quietens down the Wrexham fans and makes it extremely difficult.

So the first goal is all important tonight.

When these Wrexham players get the chance to play teams in higher divisions, they want to prove how good they are.

They want to prove that Wrexham are a team that can challenge and have a go at teams. They have nothing to lose.

Blackburn are two divisions higher so Wrexham shouldn't win this game, but there's always that chance that they can.

The former Rovers striker is going for 4-3 to Blackburn tonight.

That'd be a nice quiet one for me! I'll be typing like the Kermit gif if Chris is right.

    ● Wrexham are featuring in the FA Cup fourth round in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1998-99/1999-00. The Red Dragons haven’t won a fourth round tie since a 4-2 away win at Peterborough United in 1996-97.

    ● Wrexham forward Sam Dalby has been involved in 11 goals in his last nine appearances in the FA Cup proper (first round onwards), scoring four goals and assisting seven more. He’s either scored (2) or assisted (2) four of their six goals in this season’s competition.

Blackburn Rovers v Wrexham (19:30 GMT)

Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson recalls the day when his Bradford City side dumped Jose Mourinho's Chelsea out of the FA Cup.

Bradford came back from 2-0 to beat Chelsea 4-2 in January 2015, just months before the Blues won the Premier League title.

Parkinson hopes to mastermind another upset tonight, but he will do so from the stands, we are told that he has accumulated too many yellow cards this season and will serve a touchline ban this evening.

    He's got 19 goals.

He's a really good player, great movement, he plays in a, sort of, advanced number 10 role.

He'll be a real danger tonight. He's quick, he's pacy and he's really aggressive as well.

  13. Wrexham look to impress fans 'all over the world'published at 19:24 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

Blackburn Rovers v Wrexham (19:30 GMT)

Midfielder Elliot Lee says League Two Wrexham aim to deliver an FA Cup shock for their followers "all over the world" in Monday's fourth-round tie at Blackburn Rovers.

Wrexham will be backed by 7,000 travelling supporters at Ewood Park as they face Rovers for the right to host Newcastle United in the fifth round.

Wrexham have gained a band of new fans since being taken over by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

    "It's incredible," said Lee.

"It's what makes Wrexham amazing to be part of, the support we get not only here but all over the world. We have all heard about the support we are taking on Monday night.

"Honestly as a player, it makes such a difference knowing you have that support behind you.

"All we want to do is work hard for the badge and repay that support."

    Ashley Williams
Former Wales defender on BBC Match of the Day

If you don't want to hear him it's a good thing!

It'll be more frustrating for Phil Parkinson. I think the players, they know their roles.

They know what to do and he'll (Parkinson) have his other coaches on the bench shouting.

But it'll just be so frustrating in such a big game that he can't be on the touchline.

Blackburn Rovers boss Jon Dahl Tomasson speaking on BBC Match of the Day Wales:

"I think the cup is always exciting. It's an excellent game and Wrexham are bringing, on a Monday night, more than 7,000 fans, all the credit to them.

"First of all, it's about staying in the league, developing players.

"But a cup run, we had a great cup run last season, we won against smaller sides and we've won against Premier League sides.

"We'd like to create moments with our fans."

It's fantastic support I have to say, from Wrexham.

About 7,000 fans here, it's unbelievable really.

We know the FA Cup is all about atmosphere so it'll feel like a home game if you're Wrexham tonight.

  17. Keeping Okonkwo "massive" for Wrexhampublished at 19:20 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January

Blackburn Rovers v Wrexham (19:30 GMT)

Manager Phil Parkinson says retaining loan signing Arthur Okonkwo is "massive" for Wrexham as they continue their push for promotion.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper signed a season-long loan from Arsenal last September.

The deadline for Okonkwo to be called back was 21 January and when no call came, Parkinson admits relief.

"It's a massive signing for us to keep Arthur, he's been exceptional for us," he said.

"He's a great lad and has bought in to everything the club is about. He's moved up here and he's been great to have around, but not just that, he's a terrific goalkeeper.

"When someone plays well you always worry that they've caught the eye of other teams. So yes, I was pleased when the clock struck 12 after the 21st."

Parkinson says he is in regular contact with the Arsenal loans manager saying "they've been brilliant with us."

"They're very interested in Arthur's progress, and they know we're looking after him well.

"This is a great stage for Arthur to play on, with the expectancy of everything here at Wrexham, playing in front of packed houses every week. They understand this is a great place for him to be."
