The first real groan of frustration from the home fans as an intricate pass through is overhit and Lucas can sweep up in the Stones net. Do Ipswich have a Plan B? Do they need one?

    Ipswich 0-1 Maidstone

Goalscorer Lamar Reynolds now has the ball in the area again, skipping round his man on the left and putting a testing cross which almost fashions a chance for the visitors. A second away goal would be really something...

First FA Cup Final..1982 as a hugely proud 15 Yr old watching my QPR from the second division go toe to toe with Spurs, 1-1 then heartbreak 1-0 defeat 5 days later. Never really forgiven Hoddle since...

Absolutely a fair point Ian, good spot that!

How long before Kieran McKenna does make a change? He's got Conor Chaplin and Marcus Harness on the bench.

Could Messi do it on a cold Tuesday night in Truro. He would have a job as they currently play home matches in Plymouth.

This is a lose, lose, lose for Ipswich. If they win, it's more cup games when their push for promotion is already floundering. Ditto the draw. And if they lose.. like I say lose, lose, lose.

Favourite FA Cup Final 2021. The saves of Kasper and the Youri Thunderbolt. Àlways been a dream to win the FA Cup. Had the chance to hold it in 1994 and refused . In the 8 years prior to 94, Leicester had won one game in the Cup. Watched them finally do it and got to have my pic with it and the Community Shield.

Lamar Reynolds is a willing runner, he's run all afternoon. You can't fault the goalkeeper coming out. Maidstone have been amazing so far.

That is a Premier League quality finish!

Wouldn’t be surprised if Chelsea don’t come in for Lamar Reynolds after that finish…

    Mallen in Brighton

Come on Maidstone! Mention for the spoil sport referee booking one of the players after the celebrations, have a heart and use some common sense!

    Ipswich 0-1 Maidstone

Maidstone United manager George Elokobi on BBC One: "Nothing is won at half-time, we have to be mindful of that. We gave our supporters something to cheer about.

"We rode our luck a couple of times and if we are going to get anything out of this game, we are going to need a lot of luck. I am proud of our boys, we want to be us and we have to keep going at that."

Scott Clark: If the goalie is joining in with the goal celebration pile-on, we're in for some desperate defending for the rest of the game.

Mark: Pile on! Deep breaths, fella, you'll be alright!

It was a South American style finish from Reynolds, Lionel Messi would have done that himself in that situation, I'm sure.

Reynolds was very, very composed. Maidstone look more composed and relaxed with every minute.

Kieran McKenna will be saying to his team 'you know what you've got to do'. They've got a lot of options off the bench but it is easier said than done to turn things around quickly.

Ipswich had 18 shots and 77% possession but they trail at the break thanks to an absolutely wonderful goal from Lamar Reynolds.

Maidstone just have to see it through to half-time now. That's really important for them.
