This team is just moving in the right direction. Whenever a challenge comes their way, they just seem to get the job done.

Sometimes Rangers have come back from the winter break and look lackadaisical. Here, they were convincing.

They needed to win tonight and they've won well.

    FT: Hibernian 0-3 Rangers

A lot will be made of three very good Rangers goals, but that's another clean sheet for the Ibrox side.

13 in 21 Premiership outings. Nobody can boast a better defensive record.

  3. FULL-TIME St Johnstone 1-1 Aberdeenpublished at 21:44 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January

It ends all square in Perth.

Craig Levein is having a blether with the officials after plenty of VAR drama.

Not enough quality from either side to claim victory in what was a lacklustre contest.

Just one win their last six Premiership outings for Hibs.

The home crowd really weren't impressed with what they saw this evening.

    Big chance for Aberdeen.

A cross to the back post finds a diving Ester Sokler, but his effort goes straight at St Johnstone goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov.

We're deep into eight minutes of added time.

Max Kucheriavyi thuds the bar for Saints!

Luke Amos attempting an overhead kick... and it's a fresh air swipe.

Cyriel Dessers fires at goal again, not sure if he had stayed onside though.

David Marshall is equal to it regardless and parries for the hosts.

Graham Carey can't believe he hasn't been awarded a penalty.

The Saints veteran goes over the leg of Angus MacDonald and looks straight at John Beaton. Not interested.

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:34 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January

    Hibernian 0-3 Rangers

I had no clue if that was offside or not.

But the lines have been drawn and the Tom Lawrence goal won't stand.

    Hibernian 0-3 Rangers

Tom Lawrence has the ball in the back of the net but the offside flag is up.

    That's awfy tight...

I think the gap between the Old Firm and the rest is as big as it's ever been. It's so hard to compete.

A change a piece with about 12 minutes to pay.

Ryan Jack is on for Rabbi Matondo, meanwhile Kanayo Matondo is replaced by Rory Whittaker.

    That's a 16-year-old on for an 18-year-old. I feel ancient.

GOAL! St Johnstone 1-1 Aberdeenpublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January

    David Keltjens

    A goal on his debut!

Brilliant from the Israeli, who gets in the box to head home a cross.

But it's another shocker from Aberdeen goalkeeper Kelle Roos, who came flying out and missed the ball.

No less than Saints deserve, though.

    Cyriel Dessers

He's been on the pitch less than a minute!

It comes from Hibs playing out from the back as Rangers pounce and shift the ball forward.

Cyriel Dessers takes a touch, set and finish - though Will Fish perhaps should have scooped that away.

Fabio Silva's first Rangers start comes to an end. We didn't see too much of the big striker there, but the Rangers fans applaud him off.

    He's replaced by Cyriel Dessers.
