Re. Kompany. Should be a no brainer. His work has resulted in huge funds into the club including next season's parachute payments when (inevitably) Burnley are relegated. Let him take the lessons and experience and work towards winning promotion again. I read that is the plan at Burnley. Classy club. Take note Sheff Utd, Norwich and all the other clubs who panic sacked their manager who brought the club up only to plunge straight back down.

Burnley have been the better team and should be winning this football match, but they are too open at the back.

    Burnley 0-1 Bournemouth

Just seeing the replay of that Neto save and he just prevented all of the ball going over the line. Only a couple of centimetres of it was above the line.

    So close for Burnley.

  7. Postpublished at 45+3 mins

Great work by David Datro Fofana as he sends Vitinho away down the right but a mixture of poor control and good defending by Milos Kerkez snuffs out the opportunity.

    That looked over the line!

A great save from Neto, Brunn Larsen got it up-and-over brilliantly.

Then Vitinho has to score, David Fofana is behind him and he has to be shouting for him to leave it - there was no communication!

  9. CLOSE!published at 45+1 min

    Burnley 0-1 Bournemouth

It really should be 1-1 as, following the corner, Vitinho heads a cross over the bar from close range.

Two big chances for the hosts as we enter six minutes of time added on.

Good game-management by Bournemouth since taking the lead. They've won at Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest this season - and they're within sight of another here.

If they can leave Turf Moor with three points it will set them up well for four successive home games against Sheffield United, Luton, Everton and Crystal Palace.

Good play from Burnley, they will be disappointed going in 1-0 down.

I have seen Wilson Odobert score a few this season by whipping it into the far corner.
