Man Utd need to keep defending as well as they are as City will not stop coming forward.

I think Casemiro is there to spoil Erling Haaland's game - he has done great so far.

    Man City 0-1 Man Utd

Ederson has to race out of his box to head away Andre Onana's long ball before Bruno Fernandes can shoot.

Kevin de Bruyne to Phil Foden, shot blocked.

Kobbie Mainoo wins a free-kick off De Bruyne and United have the chance to have a break from defending for a few seconds.

  4. IFAB's eight-second goalkeeper rulepublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is getting some stick from the home fans for the time he is taking to get the ball back into play.

Yesterday, IFAB agreed to a trial which would limit goalkeepers to keeping the ball for only eight seconds.

The trial can be started at League One level and below if the EFL asked for it.

I think some City fans would quite like it to start here, immediately.

Man Utd, hit and hope goal. No intent of playing football, 10 men in their own box, more turgid Ten Hag tedium.

Kevin de Bruyne is the latest City player to have a crack. Well wide from 16 yards though.

Rodri's shot was sneaking into that left hand corner of Andre Onana's goal - good save.

Fairly relentless from City. Kevin de Bruyne's cross is cleared to Rodri, whose shot from the edge of the area towards the bottom corner is well saved by Andre Onana.

Erling Haaland's first proper chance. He heads over from eight yards out following Casemiro's misplaced clearance after Diogo Dalot had deflected Jeremy Doku's cross into the air.

Jeremy Doku is seeing a lot of the ball on the Manchester City left side.

City are trying to isolate Doku against Diogo Dalot.

So far the Portugal defender is doing a good job holding Doku up. But he needs to maintain concentration because the City man is rapid.

Only six touches for City striker Erling Haaland so far. Admittedly he often doesn't need that many to score.

Man City are trying to find the pockets and there is no space as Man Utd are in a tight formation.

United are not budging and are forcing City to come forward.

Another City chance. Jeremy Doku has the ball on the left, drifts in and finds Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese flicks the ball back to him but Doku miscues his shot, well wide.

Erling Haaland slips on the edge of the box and Jonny Evans has the ball, with the United veteran then sliding in on Phil Foden.

I've lost track of how many corners City have won now. Rodri shoots from 25 yards and it deflected behind. United clear from the corner (again).

    Big chance!

It found its way to the far post and Marcus Rashford's balance had gone, he just lost his form at the last minute.

Did Bernardo Silva's cross hit Diogo Dalot's hands? VAR check and say no penalty, just a corner.

Scott McTominay whips in a cross with Marcus Rashford in space on the opposite side of the box. He tries to volley it, but misses the ball. The home fans cheer. Let-off.
