This is a wonderful game.

Manchester City have been stung by that United goal and are almost desperate to get an equaliser.

They are opening the visitors up but also leaving gaps at the back which the visitors are trying to exploit with their pace.

Elite English football at its finest.

Only two Manchester United player have scored as many Premier League goals at Etihad Stadium as Marcus Rashford (three) - Wayne Rooney (five) and Anthony Martial (four).

Another good stop from United's Andre Onana, who is playing well so far. Phil Foden is in acres of space on the right but Onana makes himself big to keep out a shot from the City player.

Marcus Rashford is almost in for a second!

A slip by a City player in the centre circle sees Rashford have the chance to race in on goal from 50 yards out but his touch, a header to try to put him in, lets him down and the ball bounces away.

Man Utd know that Man City are the best in the world at winning the ball back in the final-third.

United are eliminating that problem by going straight forward into the middle of the pitch.

Bernardo Silva finds Kevin de Bruyne this time but the City legend rushes his shot and screws it well wide.

Bernardo Silva flicks the ball onto Phil Foden in the box. He has to turn quickly and shoot and his effort is blocked by then legs of Andre Onana.

Onana does well to catch the resulting corner and takes his time with it.

It was only this week that Marcus Rashford was writing about how much Manchester United means to him.

There were a fair few social media cynics who sniped back that the England forward would be better staying quiet and delivering on the pitch.

That is exactly what he has done. That was a truly phenomenal strike.

It has whipped up the atmosphere in this place.

United have a corner. The defenders go up but Ederson punches away under pressure.

That is incredible. Bruno Fernandes with great hold-up play on the corner of City's box, he waits for Marcus Rashford and rolls it at the right pace.

Rashford doesn't even look at the goal - top corner, keeper has no chance.

United are suddenly playing with a lot more confidence. Andre Onana almost sends Marcus Rashford away with a long ball down the left but it just goes out of play.
