Not so long ago, Leicester were runaway league leaders with a 12-point advantage.

Defeat by a QPR side fighting for Championship survival has slashed that margin to three points.

Ipswich made the most of the Foxes being beaten for the third successive time in the league, and moved up to second with their win at Plymouth.

Leeds' draw earlier in the day has them within five points of Leicester, and Southampton pulled off a dramatic 4-3 win at Birmingham City to remain hot on the heels of those three above them.

  3. Opportunity missed at Deepdalepublished at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    FT: Preston 0-0 Hull

    Sanny Rudravajhala
BBC Radio 5 Live at Deepdale

Thirty-one shots on goal – 16 from North End and 15 from Hull but somehow the deadlock wasn’t broken.

Freddie Woodman pulled off two fine saves in particular to deby Fabio Carvalho in the first half and then stopping Jaden Philogene capping off a jinking run.

At the other end, Ryan Allsop stretched every sinew to deny a Liam Miller special, cutting in from the left and striking from distance.

An entertaining game but as the final few stragglers leave the stands, there’ll surely be reflecting on an opportunity missed for both sides.

  4. Norwich boost play-off hopes, as Black Cats take a hitpublished at 17:10 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

Is there a play-off pot of gold under that rainbow for Norwich?

Josh Sargent’s 81st-minute goal leaves them one point below the dotted line and keeps them in view of the play-offs.

You have to wonder whether Sunderland said goodbye to any play-off hopes with this result.

Plenty of chances, but nothing to show for their arguably equal endeavour in an exciting second half.

He will be a relieved man after losing his opening four home league games as Swans boss!

Blackburn are still winless after six games under boss John Eustace and sink closer to the danger zone.

We just need to shut everything down now.

GOAL: Birmingham 3-4 Southamptonpublished at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Swansea 2-1 Blackburn

Blackburn subs combine as Yasin Ayari finds Ben Chrisene but the latter heads it at Swansea goalkeeper Carl Rushworth.

    Plymouth 0-2 Ipswich

A fifth straight league win for Ipswich and they're back up to second.

They had a tough time through the end of December and January but they've found a second wind in the past few weeks and they're now three points off table-toppers Leicester.

An own goal from Brendan Galloway and Kieffer Moore's fifth in seven games for the Blues did the job at Home Park.

  15. 'This day belongs to QPR'published at 16:57 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    FT: Leicester 1-2 QPR

    Owynn Palmer-Atkin
    BBC Radio Leicester commentator

The Leicester players have surrounded the referee angry they haven't been awarded a late penalty.

Forgetting that, this day belongs to QPR.

Leicester had big chances and didn't do well enough in defence.

  18. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:55 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

Hull stay sixth, Preston stay eighth.
