    Preston 0-0 Hull City

Hull City are looking to win a fifth successive away match for the first time since 1996.

Three points at eighth-placed Preston today would really strengthen the Tigers' hand in sixth spot.

However, it is the hosts, who are in great nick themselves, who nearly break the deadlock as Ben Whiteman's shot deflects past the post.

Oh my goodness! That is the best ‘Yeaaahhh-Ohhhhh’ you’ll ever hear. The ball breaks to that man again Ben Whiteman, it looks like he’s side-footing first time into the bottom right corner and at it just goes wide. Cue the ‘waaayyyys’ from the Hull fans.

    Norwich 0-0 Sunderland

Early chance for the Canaries to break the deadlock at Carrow Road as Jack Stacey finds Ashley Barnes with a cross but the ex-Burnley striker can't direct his near-post header on target.

Tepid was the word used to describe the first half by the Final Score reporter - let's hope that opening is the beginning of things starting to heat up.

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer and former chancellor, and Canaries fan, Ed Balls will certainly be hoping so...

    Leicester 0-1 QPR

I see Leicester have marked the start of the second half by tweeting out "all to play for".

That really does sum up the vibes of the next 45 minutes for the league leading Foxes against QPR.

We are back under way in most of these Championship games now.

Expect some huge shifts to be put in.

Pretty tepid stuff from two sides that will have to do better if they have any chance of progressing to the play-off spots.

Both sides looking a bit lost in the rain. Shots from Sainz and Sargent perhaps the closest to breaking the deadlock.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:53 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Birmingham 2-1 Southampton

Goals from Koji Miyoshi and Jay Stansfield have Birmingham City ahead against Southampton.

It's was a wide open 45 minutes, with both sides hitting the woodwork.

Southampton had managed to level after after Miyoshi's opener, but have it all to do again after the interval.

  7. 'Whittaker looks frustrated'published at 15:53 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    HT: Plymouth 0-0 Ipswich

    Ryan Brunt
Former Plymouth striker on BBC Radio Devon

I've been really impressed with the number of bodies Plymouth have got in the Ipswich box.

    It's very positive.

However, Morgan Whittaker has looked a bit frustrated so far.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Preston 0-0 Hull City

Keenly-fought battle between sixth-placed Hull City and eighth-placed Preston.

Both teams have had chances but you feel like one goal could well be enough in this one.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Rotherham 0-0 Sheff Wed

Second-bottom Wednesday have had 11 shots to bottom-of-the-table Rotherham's one so far in this one.

Danny Rohl's side have got to make that dominance count after the break.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Millwall 1-0 Watford

Zian Flemming celebrates scoring for Millwall against WatfordImage source, Rex Features

Zian Flemming's long-range third-minute free-kick has given Millwall the lead at the halfway point.

Lions boss Neil Harris is eyeing-up back-to-back wins after making his return to The Den.

As for Watford, they are sinking further away from the play-off picture and need a second-half improvement.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Plymouth 0-0 Ipswich

Nothing between them at the break.

Ipswich will go second with a win today but they're going to have to work hard to get it.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Norwich 0-0 Sunderland

Nothing to separate these two so far.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Swansea 2-0 Blackburn

A great first half for Swansea with Joe Allen and Jamie Paterson scoring inside the opening 20 minutes to put them in a comfortable position.

However, the home fans will know that Swansea have lost their last four home league games and have only four home wins all season.

So they might not be sitting that comfortably just yet.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Leicester 0-1 QPR

Ilias Chair scores for QPR at LeicesterImage source, PA Media

QPR have those at the King Power a little stunned at the break, having taken an unlikely lead late in the first half.

The Londoners soaked up a ton of pressure, then snatched the lead through Ilias Chair with their only shot on goal.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Stoke 1-0 Middlesbrough

Bae Junho's goal just before the break has put lowly Stoke ahead against mid-table Middlesbrough.

There has been a scarcity of chances at both ends, but the Potters have the edge right now.

  16. 'Southampton can't believe it'published at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Birmingham 2-1 Southampton

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

I don't think Southampton can quite believe it.

Massive credit to Stansfield who finished it in his customary fashion.

This game is full of beautiful football.

  17. goal

GOAL: Birmingham 2-1 Southamptonpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Jay Stansfield (41 mins)

    It's advantage Birmingham again.

This time they take the lead a little against the run of play, as Southampton seemed to be getting comfortable.

Jay Stansfield blasts the ball into the roof of the net after being played through by Dion Sanderson.

  18. goal

And it is another huge goal at the bottom of the table.

Luke Ayling fails to read a long ball forward and Bae Junho makes the most of it.

The Stoke forward holds off his man and finishes well to put the Potters ahead just before the break.

  19. Postpublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Plymouth 0-0 Ipswich

Ipswich defender Luke Woolfenden does well to get Mikel Miller's shot away from his goal line.

Down the other end, Kieffer Moore's effort is saved by Conor Hazard.

  20. 'Poor goal for Leicester to concede'published at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    Leicester 0-1 QPR

    Matt Piper
Former Foxes winger on BBC Radio Leicester

From QPR's perspective, that goal will be outstanding.

However, I've got to say it is littered with mistakes.

It also looked offside...either way it's a poor goal for Leicester to concede.
