We're still waiting for reaction from the QPR v West Brom game as it didn't finish until after 10pm, but we'll put that in the match report when we get it.

For now, that's us done, but we'll be back on Friday for Sheffield Wednesday against Leeds.

Hope you can join us then!

  2. 'Sainz needs to take responsibility' - McLeanpublished at 22:42 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Norwich midfielder Kenny McLean to BBC Radio Norfolk on Borja Sainz's red card - his second sending-off of the season - for appearing to kick out at Jonny Howson:

"If the referee is correct he [Sainz] needs to take responsibility for his actions. It's not just getting sent off tonight - he's missing three games and he's a big player for us.

"That's a massive blow with the injuries we've got in that position. It just makes the sending-off worse.

"Listen, we're not going to throw him under the bus at all because he's been excellent for us and we need him and hopefully he can learn from it.

"If it is the case that he's kicked out, I think it's a bit petty and it's something he needs to learn from because it's happened before, and I'm sure he will."

  3. 'I've not seen it' - Carrickpublished at 22:40 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    FT: Middlesbrough 3-1 Norwich

Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick was happy with his side's performance against play-off chasing Norwich but did not believe their win was a given after the Canaries were reduced to 10 men.

Borja Sainz was shown a controversial red card following a challenge on Boro captain Jonny Howson during their 3-1 win at the Riverside.

"Sometimes it's about finding a way. We needed a win for the boys and the feeling around them," Carrick told BBC Radio Tees.

"They've been fantastic for the past couple of days. You'd never think we'd had a couple of games like we had, because they were in good spirits and sticking together.

"The sending off made a difference, obviously. I thought we made the most of it. 10 men can be tricky but I thought the boys approached that really well and that told the story of the game - the period before half-time.

"I've not seen it. I didn't see it at the time on the sidelines and I've not watched it back. It was a moment in the game, there's no denying that, but we did make the most of it."

  4. 'We lost two points' - Williamspublished at 22:39 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    FT: Watford 1-1 Swansea

    Swansea head coach Luke Williams:

"It is a couple [of points] dropped. We scored first and just about dominated the first half. From that position you have a choice to control the game more - you don't have to frantically try to score any more.

"You can manage the game in a different way. We didn't do that so we lost two points.

"The one-goal cushion wasn't enough. We have to improve the way we finish games. We are starting games better but we have to finish better.

"If we are not going to be able to play with the same attacking threat, we have to manage the game in a different way and that's something we are learning."

  5. Time for Ismael to go?published at 22:37 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Another quick thumbs poll.

Do Watford need a change of manager (again)? That's now just one win in 11 games in all competitions.

Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

  6. 'A clear mental issue' - Ismaelpublished at 22:35 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    FT: Watford 1-1 Swansea

    Watford head coach Valerien Ismael:

"We changed some players. We changed first half the way to play. We changed a lot of things around the training ground, the schedule, just to make sure the players aware of the situation.

"It was difficult at half-time but we just said we have to stay in the game. We just need one goal.

"It's a clear mental issue at the moment. We are working on it with the players but sometimes it takes time. We need that confidence.

"The best way to heal is to win a game. We have the chance now on Saturday. We focus now on that game and we go again."

  7. 'We controlled second half' - Breitenreiterpublished at 22:32 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    FT: Cardiff 1-0 Huddersfield

Huddersfield boss Andre Breitenreiter said his players let him down in the first half before improving after the break.

"We are disappointed as it was possible to get some points. In the second half we controlled the game and had big chances," the German said.

"But you don't deserve to get a point when you don't play at 100%. There is no excuses from me. We had lots of time to recover from the Leeds game.

"There are reasons why we are sitting 21st in the table. This evening was disappointing, but I learnt many things.

"Today was like a day we should forget as soon as possible. I could have changed any of the players after the first half."

  8. 'We needed our confidence back' - Bulutpublished at 22:30 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    FT: Cardiff 1-0 Huddersfield

Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut told BBC Sport Wales:

"For the last four games I am happy. We needed to get our confidence back.

"We scored a nice goal, this time not from a set-piece. If you win goals you always feel much, much better.

"We don't speak about the play-offs right now. We have 30 points to play for and we will try to get as many as we can.

"The goal was a goal playing out from the back. We held back Famara Diedhiou, he was angry he didn't play against his ex-team (Bristol City) but it was a good decision I think."

Just got out of Loftus Road, fuming about that clear handball that wasn't given. Imagine if the R's go down because of that. That's what football without VAR feels like, and it feels bad.

We might be done here before we get any reaction from QPR and West Brom... but home fans certainly weren't happy they were denied a second penalty for a blatant Cedric Kipre handball on the line...

  12. Coming up on Friday...published at 22:22 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds (20:00 GMT)

You won't have to wait long for your next fix of Championship football.

On Friday it's a tasty Yorkshire derby which impacts the top and bottom of the table.

We'll have all the action right here of course.

The Baggies dropped a couple of points tonight, but they're still handily placed for a play-off spot.

Do you think West Brom will be playing Premier League football next season?

Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

  14. Recap of Wednesday's resultspublished at 22:13

If you're just joining us, here's how tonight's results went. Southampton v Preston was postponed this afternoon because of a fire next to St Mary's.

    • Cardiff 1-0 Huddersfield
    • Middlesbrough 3-1 Norwich
    • Watford 1-1 Swansea
    • QPR 2-2 West Brom
  15. Still terrifically tight at bottompublished at 22:10 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

It's only a point - but it will feel like much more to anyone of a QPR persuasion.

After an absolutely manic 2-2 draw with West Brom, the R's climb a place to 19th amid a ridiculously congested Championship relegation battle.

But Huddersfield's defeat at Cardiff keeps the Terriers out of the drop zone only by virtue of goals scored.

Swansea's draw at Watford edges them five points away from trouble but, goodness me, it's anyone's guess who will accompany seemingly-doomed Rotherham down to League One.

  16. Baggies remain on course for top sixpublished at 22:07 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

So not much change in the top half of the table tonight.

West Brom's point at QPR keeps the Baggies comfortably inside the top six but their play-off berth is far from safe with 10 games to go.

The big movers in the top half are Cardiff, who beat Huddersfield 1-0 to climb to 10th and will harbour outside hopes of a late top-six tilt.

  17. Penalty save the 'game-changer'published at 22:02 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    FT: QPR 2-2 West Brom

The penalty save - that is the game-changer for Albion.

Alright they threw the lead away, but it is still a vital point, you never know come the end of the season how important this may be.

  18. 'A game full of drama'published at 22:02 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    FT: QPR 2-2 West Brom

    Steve Hermon
    BBC Radio WM commentator

A game full of drama, in front of their new owner who has been treated to an absolute cracker.

A bandaged up Alex Palmer saving a penalty, what a game, it had it all.

Eventually the pressure paid for QPR.

  19. FULL-TIMEpublished at 22:00 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    QPR 2-2 West Brom

A Sam Field double. A thunder strike from Mikey Johnston. A penalty. A saved penalty. A second penalty that should have been given after a handball but never was.

    Phew.

Now that's a Championship fixture, alright. QPR and West Brom share the points and you have to say that's a more useful point for the hosts.

The Rs edge narrowly away from the drop zone and into 19th. West Brom go four unbeaten remain fifth.

  20. INJURY TIMEpublished at 21:57 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    QPR 2-2 West Brom

Six minutes added on at Loftus Road.

QPR are up to the lofty heights of 19th as things stand, but it's incredibly tight at the bottom and they'll only be a point off the bottom three if it finishes like this.

Mind you, another goal and they'd finish the night in 16th and three points off the drop zone.
