  1. goal

GOAL: QPR 1-0 West Brompublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Sam Field (17 mins)

A massive goal with possible implications at the bottom of the Championship table!

QPR lead but it comes after some poor work at the back from West Brom.

Sam Field scores against his former club shortly after Baggies keeper Alex Palmer had spilled a long range drive, allowing the hosts to pounce with Field eventually tapping in from close range as the visitors scrambled to clear.

  2. 'Norwich harshly done by'published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Norwich

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

It looks like they are playing with twelve men.

Michael Carrick as animated as I have seen him in a long time.

    ...

    Jonny Howson is furious.

And now they are playing with 10...

This game has changed in an instant.

Boro have had a massive slice of good luck there - I don't see a kick - I try to be fair to both teams, and I think Norwich have been harshly done by there.

  3. goal

GOAL: Cardiff 1-0 Huddersfieldpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Famara Diedhiou (30 mins)

Huddersfield had started the brighter against Cardiff...but it's the Bluebirds who take the lead.

Josh Bowler plays a tremendous low delivery from the right which is met inside the box by Famara Diedhiou who slides home under pressure from his marker.

Great goal, but work to do for Huddersfield.

  4. RED CARD: Borja Sainz (Norwich)published at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Norwich

    Well this could change things.

Norwich's Borja Sainz sees red for catching Jonny Howson.

It's like a World Cup 98 Beckham red. Sainz unhappy with a Howson challenge - and then, while on the floor, he kicks out a foot that makes contact with the Boro man.

    Soft. But silly.

  5. Postpublished at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Norwich

Almost half hour in and Boro haven't had a single shot - yet alone one on target.

The home crowd are muted - but not yet mutinous. Are you resigned to a season of mid-table mediocrity, Boro fans? It seems like it's heading that way.

    QPR 0-0 West Brom

Applause has rung around Loftus Road in the 10th minute in honour of Stan Bowles who wore the number 10 shirt for QPR.

Still no goals in this one but it's early days.

    Watford 0-1 Swansea

That Ryan Andrews own goal has lifted Swansea above Watford in the table.

The Swans are in the top half as things stand.

Yet still only seven points above the drop zone. Crazy Championship congestion.

  8. Boro tactics not workingpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Norwich

    Mark Drury
    BBC Tees commentator

The system was set up to nullify Norwich, to stop them from scoring, but they have had all the ball and got into good areas.

The manager set something up he thought might work, but at this point in time it isn't.

  9. Postpublished at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Cardiff 0-0 Huddersfield

It's all Huddersfield at the minute.

Sorba Thomas sends another ball into the Cardiff box which is met by Brodie Spencer.

But Spencer's headed effort from a tight angle fails to test Bluebirds keeper Ethan Horvath.

I work just down the road from St Mary’s stadium, Southampton. Loads and loads of black smoke from the unit blowing straight over the stadium all afternoon.

  11. 'They just have to have patience'published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    QPR 0-0 West Brom

    Tony 'Bomber' Brown
West Brom's all-time leading goalscorer on BBC Radio WM

    Very cagey game so far.

Both sides have not been able to get forward and create a decent opportunity.

They just have to have patience, keep moving the ball around and hopefully create an opening.

  12. goal

GOAL: Watford 0-1 Swanseapublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Ryan Andrews og (18 mins)

Watford's awful run showing every sign of continuing.

    And it's a terrible mix-up.

A hopeful ball over the top down the left and Ryan Andrews doesn't see his goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann coming.

Andrews nods the ball back towards his own goal but Bachmann isn't there - and it's a gift of an opener for the Swans.

  13. Postpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Cardiff 0-0 Huddersfield

Sorba Thomas whips a Huddersfield free-kick into the Cardiff box which the hosts just about deal with.

Dimitrios Goutas is on hand to nod the ball clear of goal to keep it goalless.

  14. 'Five at the back leaves us bare in midfield'published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Norwich

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

    They have too much possession.

Five at the back leaves us bare in midfield, it is a good shape they have.

Matt Clark pushed up a yard or so too much.

  15. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 0-1 Norwichpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Ashley Barnes (17 mins)

    It's been coming.

As it stands, Norwich are up into the Championship play-off places.

A scrappy goal but the Canaries won't care - Ashley Barnes mishits his initial volley from a ball over the top but, while grounded, reacts smartly to poke a second effort past Seny Dieng.

  16. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    QPR 0-0 West Brom

We're under way in tonight's late kick-off in the Championship as QPR face West Brom.

A reminder that this is the first game at Loftus Road since Rs legend Stan Bowles died on 24 February.

Bowles scored 97 goals for the club and the home side have paid tribute before kick-off this evening while the hosts are also wearing special shirts in his honour.

  17. Postpublished at 19:59 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Norwich

It is absolutely all Norwich at The Riverside.

An Ashley Barnes effort is beaten away by Seny Dieng.

  18. 'Boro have to move ball quickly'published at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Norwich

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

When we have the ball we have to move it quickly into attack, but so far too often they are slowing it down.

  19. Postpublished at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Norwich

Moment of danger for the hosts as keeper Seny Dieng comes out but is beaten to a ball into the left side of the area by Dimitris Giannoulis.

The keeper pushes him wide but he finds Borja Sainz, via a ricochet, who curls wide as Dieng backpedals back between his posts.

  20. Postpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Cardiff 0-0 Huddersfield

An even start at the Cardiff City Stadium with both sides sharing the possession in the early stages.

Ben Wiles tries his luck for Huddersfield in the visitors' first chance of the evening but his right-footed drive from close range goes over the bar.
