As a Watford fan I very rarely disagree with managerial sackings. It does therefore amaze me that Ismael is still in a job. However, as every recent coach will confirm the upstairs management team will not support you in recruitment so you need to be good at polishing you know what...

Cardiff climb into the top 10 as it stands and 12 points clear of danger.

West Brom could have a seven-point buffer to seventh-placed Norwich if results stay the same tonight.

If Boro and Swansea can hold onto their leads in the second half it will give them a bit of breathing space to the drop zone.

QPR and Huddersfield are both trailing and only outside the bottom three on goal difference as it stands.

Now I'm a Norwich fan. That's never a red card. What's really nice though is listening to the Boro radio and even they have said that it wasn't a red card. If Norwich lose this game now that's purely on Bobby Madley. Quite obvious why he isn't officiating in the Prem.

    QPR 1-2 West Brom

Sam Field whips a ball into the West Brom box as QPR chase the game after the visitors' pair of quickfire strikes.

But his effort fails to test the Baggies.

    Neil Maddison

The sending off has completely changed the game.

Without it Norwich were in control and you can imagine them just keeping on passing the ball around, controlling the game.

It was not a sending off - I have to be honest.

There is no malice in it, it was the slightest of touches.

But they have to get on with it now.

Boro will take that luck all day.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Middlesbrough 2-1 Norwich

For half an hour, Norwich were fully in control. But Borja Sainz's controversial red card has thrown a completely different complexion on proceedings at The Riverside.

Ashley Barnes deservedly prodded the Canaries ahead but Sainz was sent off for a flicking out a boot, a la David Beckham France '98, at Jonny Howson.

And Boro have made the man advantage pay to turn the game on its head and deal a blow to the visitors' play-off push with goals from front two Marcus Forss and Emmanuel Latte Lath.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Cardiff 1-0 Huddersfield

Famara Diedhiou's close range goal separates Cardiff and Huddersfield at the break.

Despite the scoreline, the visitors have had more of the action in the first half.

  11. 'At this point in time you change nothing'published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Middlesbrough 2-1 Norwich

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

I do not think they will change the shape now they have got themselves in the lead and played some good football.

At this point in time you change nothing, you are 2-1 up.

  12. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 2-1 Norwichpublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Emmanuel Latte Lath (43 mins)

Turnaround central. Norwich led - but now the 10-man Canaries are behind.

Not a pretty goal as Emmanuel Latte Lath makes a bit of a mess of controlling Matty Clarke's cross.

But he can afford a dodgy touch or two - because he's found space between two defenders and has time to slot past Angus Gunn.

Horrible goal for Norwich to concede, 10 men or not.

    QPR 1-2 West Brom

    Tony 'Bomber' Brown
West Brom's all-time leading goalscorer on BBC Radio WM

Now we have a game on our hands, there is a bit of spring in Albion's step.

Two goals in two minutes, the same goalscorers as the other night in Coventry.

We just said he has to get more involved in the game, well he must have been listening to us.

What a turnaround in this game!

GOAL: QPR 1-2 West Brompublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Grady Diangana (27 mins)

    What a turnaround!

This has come out of nowhere but all of a sudden West Brom are on top against QPR!

Over the course of two minutes, the visitors lead, courtesy of some cracking work on the right from Tom Fellows who delivers a low ball into the centre of the box which is turned home by Grady Diangana.

  15. Postpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Watford 0-1 Swansea

Not too much to report from Vicarage Road since Swansea's opener.

Each side has threatened but efforts from Swansea's Ronald and Watford's Ken Sema were both comfortably dealt with by the respective goalkeepers.

  16. goal

GOAL: QPR 1-1 West Brompublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Mikey Johnson (25 mins)

    Incredible strike!

Against the run of play, West Brom level it up against QPR and it's another thunderous shot from distance from Mikey Johnson.

The Celtic loanee scores his fourth goal in eight games for the Baggies as he picks up the ball on the left flank, turns and races to the edge of the box and unleashes a right-footed drive which cannons off the post and into the net.

  17. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Cardiff 1-0 Huddersfield

What do Huddersfield have in response to Cardiff taking the lead?

Well Sorba Thomas is in the thick of the action once more, this time on the left wing having switched with Delano Burgzorg.

Thomas swings a ball in towards Danny Ward who can't quite meet his delivery.

  18. 'West Brom look to react instantly'published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    QPR 1-0 West Brom

    Phil Parry
    BBC Radio London

Home form had been a real problem up until recently.

    Can they build on this.

Great if they can, but West Brom look to react instantly-they say you are vulnerable when you have just scored.

  19. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 1-1 Norwichpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Marcus Forss (37 mins)

Boro's first shot. And it's a goal - for the 11 men against the 10.

The numerical advantage quickly pays dividends for the hosts.

Norwich fail to clear a low cross into the box and Marcus Forss is on hand to prod the loose ball home with committed Canaries keeper Angus Gunn helpless.

The Canaries drop back out of the top six.

Watford's ownership chickens coming home to roost now. Could be surprise relegation candidates at this rate? Yet another badly run club nosediving down the leagues.
