    Wolves 0-0 Fulham

The first real chance of the game goes the visitors' way as Andreas Pereira tries to curl in from a tight angle but Jose Sa pushes away.

Wolves would have been aggreived if that resulted in a goal because they felt they should have had a free-kick in the lead up to the chance.

  2. Postpublished at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

    Bournemouth 0-0 Sheff Utd

Ben Brereton Diaz, back in the Sheffield United starting XI, has a decent opportunity as he races towards goal but drives his shot straight at the goalkeeper.

The Palace team got into a huddle just before kick-off. This match is a chance for them to go 11 points clear of the relegation zone with a victory. For Luton it keeps them in close to the group of teams just above the relegation zone.

The interesting thing with Bournemouth from a fantasy football perspective, a lot of people are going to captain Dominic Solanke, double game-week this week.

Actually their stats at home, their attacking stats at home don't rank very well in the Premier League.

They're 19th for goals scored, 19th for shots in the box, there are issues there.

Chris Wilder will take great pleasure in giving Blades youth product Ollie Arblaster his first Premier League start.

You feel Wilder was always going to make changes today after that wretched night against Arsenal, and his message to his players is about having the right attitude today. Wilder is a fighter, and he wants his players to show they’re up for a scrap too.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder will meet with owner Prince Abdullah next week to discuss the club's future.

The Blades are bottom of the Premier League, 11 points from safety with 11 games of the season remaining.

Despite finding themselves in a relegation battle, Wilder says "good things" are happening off the pitch as they look beyond the end of the season.

"I'm going out to Riyadh next week for meetings with the owners, for four or five days," Wilder, 56, said.

"They understand the situation that we're in. They're not liking the situation and I didn't expect them to."

    FT: Man Utd 2-0 Everton

    Manchester United

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes on TNT Sports: "Obviously we know we have to win every game that we have ahead. We know our position in the league and it's not enough for us. We want to try and get into the spots for the Champions League. We know it's going to be tough and difficult but we have to win these games.

"We have to win every game. We didn't win against Fulham. That was not good enough. Then we go away to City and we don't win two games in a row. It gets tough. Aston Villa is doing really well, in moments Tottenham are being really good. It will be more difficult for us than them but we have to push."

On handing the second penalty to Marcus Rashford: "We both kick the penalties. I asked Marcus if he wanted to take and he said he was confident. He is one of the penalty takers that the manager chooses. I felt I had my one, Rashy could get his goal from the penalty."

  11. 'A difficult game to call'published at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

    Wolves v Fulham (15:00 GMT)

I didn't expect Wolves to get walloped the way they did at Newcastle last time out, the same way I didn't think Fulham would beat Brighton so convincingly.

I really like what Fulham are doing at the moment, though. They are playing some nice football and, up front, Rodrigo Muniz is in excellent form.

Wolves are definitely without Matheus Cunha through injury so the level of their attacking threat depends on whether Pedro Neto is fit after he came off with a hamstring problem against the Magpies.

Either way, this is another very difficult game to call. I don't want to go for a draw but I do feel like it's the most likely outcome.

    Prediction: 1-1

    • Fulham are winless in 17 league and cup trips to Wolves since a 4-0 victory in the old Division Two back in March 1985. (D5, L12).
    • The London side failed to score in any of their past four Premier League fixtures at Molineux.
    • Three of the goals in the reverse fixture, won 3-2 by Fulham, came from the penalty spot, including the home side's stoppage-time winner.
    • Fulham could complete their first league double over Wolves. This is the 44th league campaign in which they have met.

Conceding 23 shots at home to a team in 16th place is absolutely nowhere near good enough. I've never felt this embarrassed by the team I support after a win!

  14. 'Now we are back'published at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

    FT: Man Utd 2-0 Everton

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag to TNT Sports: "Every game we have to win, so every game is a must-need."

On Alejandro Garnacho: "He's progressing very well and we are very pleased with this. His contribution today was huge, his runs, his dribbles. It's attractive as well for the audience, obviously we want to show something. I think well-deserved penalties."

Pleased with the performance: "In areas yes, especially with our attacks and counter-attacks, but we can make better choices to rest on the ball, choosing when to break. We could have scored three or four goals not just the two penalties. We defended quite well, we could have been a bit better in the build-up.

"We could have been calmer and more composed on the ball. Everton did well and pressed high which gave us lots of chances in behind."

On Marcus Rashford: "He's good in the game, good in the team. It shows the team spirit. Bruno took the first but we have more very good penalty takers. In this moment he is good, in the team, and he is a threat.

"We defended very well. Our expected goals is much higher than them. We are defending low quality chances. Sometimes we are defending very low and we can do that very well.

"It was important. We had one bad result against Fulham in this calendar year. We had to put this right and keep the pressure on the teams above us. There are many games to play. Now we are back. We will keep pressure on them and see what happens."

  15. Barkley for England?published at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

Crystal Palace v Luton (15:00 GMT)

Luton Town midfielder Ross Barkley says he has gone "back in time" this season after a return to his best form with the Premier League newcomers.

Barkley, 30, made a surprise switch to newly promoted Luton last summer following a brief spell in France.

A move to Kenilworth Road has seen him play the most league minutes he has in a season for seven years, and led to talk about an England recall.

"I feel like I'm in a good place again," Barkley told BBC Sport.

"I don't have to worry about anything else other than playing games and enjoying training and enjoying my matches and trying to help my team do as good as possible."

I am at this game for BBC Radio 5 live and it is a big one for Luton, who have lost four league games in a row as well as going out of the FA Cup against Manchester City.

Their run of good form at the end of January feels a long time ago and, although they have had some difficult games recently, this has to be seen as a fixture where they need to get something if they are going to stay up.

They beat Crystal Palace earlier in the season, so that must be the target again - I am just not sure whether they can do it.

It is a boost for the Eagles that Eberechi Eze is back from injury, and he scored against Tottenham last week.

They always carry more of a threat when he is in the team but to be completely honest, I really don't know what to expect from them yet under new boss Oliver Glasner.

They beat Burnley comfortably in his first game which was a great start, but you have to remember the Clarets were down to 10 men for an hour. Then, against Tottenham last week, they lost and only had 22% possession.

What I am trying to say is it is going to take time for things to take shape under Glasner, and we will have to wait and see what kind of playing style he implements. As for this game, well it smells like a draw to me.

    Prediction: 1-1

The match against Luton Town will be another chance for Crystal Palace to show their development since Oliver Glasner took over at Selhurst Park.

This time, unlike Tottenham last week, it will be a game in which Glasner will be expecting to see more of the ball.

The Eagles put in a resolute performance against Spurs but, ultimately, conceded three late goals - a theme that has summed up their season.

Palace have conceded 19 goals in the last 15 minutes of Premier League matches so far this season. Conceding so late, so often has cost them vital points and is one of the reasons Roy Hodgson was under so much pressure towards the end of his time in charge.

Glasner has asked for a more intense style of play from his side, and he and the players acknowledged this played a factor in the result at Spurs.

"It's tough, but the intensity that we're playing at is so much higher than we've done before, so to maintain that for 90 minutes is not easy. But I'm sure we're going to get there over the next few weeks," goalscorer Eberechi Eze said after the match.

  20. Sunny Singh Gill to make historypublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

Former referee Jarnail Singh says it will be a "very proud" and "emotional" moment watching his son Sunny Singh Gill make history as the first British South Asian referee in the Premier League.

Sunny's journey to the top of English football started when his dad would take him and his brother Bhupinder as teenagers to run the line for him at Asian tournaments.

"Proud isn't the word," Jarnail told BBC Sport before Sunny takes charge of Crystal Palace against Luton Town on Saturday.

"As a parent we all wish our children to exceed in life [beyond] whatever you've achieved, so it's not just with Sunny but Bhupinder as well.

"They've both exceeded our expectations and it's just a very proud moment for the family, friends, the community and the Sikh religion. I'll be honest, it's very emotional."

Bhupinder became the first Sikh to serve as a Premier League assistant referee when he ran the line in the match between Southampton and Nottingham Forest in January 2023.
