    Man Utd 2-0 Everton

Scott McTominay wins Manchester United a free-kick in a great position. It'll use up plenty of time too.

It's a cheery mood inside Old Trafford though. Almost there.

GarethNotGarth: Even though it looks like we might get the 3 points here let’s be abundantly clear - this has been another awful performance from United.

Supermac82: Score aside, this performance is still awful. Mad at how far Utd have fallen. For the money spent, squad and team is actually awful. INEOS can’t be happy with this.

United make a change. Alejandro Garnacho, who won both penalties, is replaced by Antony.

  6. Postpublished at 83 mins

    Man Utd 2-0 Everton

Incredibly, Manchester United have now faced 20 or more shots in five of their past six Premier League games.

Only Sheffield United have faced more across the season.

I think Everton should spend the next three weeks doing nothing other than shooting at goal. 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Might give us a chance to get one in by the next game.

    Man Utd 2-0 Everton

Maybe Manchester United haven't quite shaken off their sloppiness yet?

Andre Onana makes a complete meal of Jonny Evans' back pass, allowing it to role past him and out for a corner.

From the set-piece, Dominic Calvert-Lewin rises highest but his header is straight at Onana.

    Wayne Rooney
Former Manchester United forward on TNT Sports

I think Rashford has had moments, he's made some good runs but there's been a lack of care and quality with the final ball through to him.

I know Calvert-Lewin is in a team who are struggling, but their main struggle is scoring goals and he isn't helping them. He looks rusty, despite having played regularly. He's just not a Premier League quality striker.

  12. Ashley Young's OT welcomepublished at 14:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

    Man Utd 2-0 Everton

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

It was good to see Ashley Young getting a warm welcome from the Old Trafford faithful.

A former team-mate of Jonny Evans', Young was part of Manchester United's 2012-13 Premier League title-winning squad.

Young also won the Europa League, the FA Cup and EFL Cup during his time as a United player.

No-one could ever accuse him of failing to give his best.

The hosts make a change. Youngster Kobbie Mainoo trundles off to a standing ovation. Sofyan Amrabat comes on.

Hey look, one goal and Manchester United's players will begin to sweat. It ain't over until it's over.

  15. 'Dyche and his staff kicking on'published at 14:08 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

    Man Utd 2-0 Everton

    Izzy Christiansen
Former Everton and England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's a change of shape now for Everton, it looks like they have gone three at the back.

Pushing players forwards and Sean Dyche and his staff are really kicking on because I think they know, with the Everton mentality, if they get one they could well find another as well.

  16. CLOSE!published at 77 mins

    Man Utd 2-0 Everton

It's never going to go in for Everton!

Their 19th attempt might just be their best. Vitalii Mykolenko puts in a brilliant cross which Ben Godfrey somehow can't direct on target from a few yards out.

The ball is actually kept in by Lewis Dobbin but his low pass across goal is too pacey for a sliding Dominic Calvert-Lewin to flick in at the back post.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

    Man Utd 2-0 Everton

Everton make another change as ex-Manchester United midfielder James Garner is replaced by ex-Manchester United winger Ashley Young.

  18. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Man Utd 2-0 Everton

Manchester United are keeping the ball really well now, limiting Everton's chances to burst forward.

The visitors do manage to grab an opportunity, but Dominic Calver-Lewin's loose touch invites a tackle from Victor Lindelof.

  19. Solanke starts for Bournemouth, Brereton Diaz back for Bladespublished at 14:04 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March

Bruno is the dedicated penalty taker. He could have given it Marcus just because he had already taken one which makes it harder for Pickford on the 2nd. Also it will give Rashford confidence scoring even from the spot. A striker needs that to have a chance to score from open play in the upcoming games.
