Maybe West Ham were inspired by Spurs’ second half surge. West Ham? More like West Can!

West Ham 1-2 Burnley
West Ham have come out a completely different side in this half. They are doing all the attacking as they win a corner, from which Konstantinos Mavropanos' header is deflected just wide.

Tottenham goalscorer James Maddison on Sky Sports: "It feels as big as any other three points but we knew there would be a lot on today's game just because of the nature of the league table.
"[I'm] really happy, you see the celebrations because we work all week. We had a game plan and we came away with three points with a convincing win.
"It's a common theme in our game, we score a lot of goals late on. The message was to keep doing the same thing because they won't be able to keep up.
"We blew them away at the start of the second half.
"Game-by-game, sorry for the boring cliché answer. That's all you can do. You have to focus on winning the game."
Brighton 1-0 Nottingham Forest
Half a chance for Nottingham Forest at the start of the second half as Divock Origi gets into space on the right side of the box but gets his shot all wrong and it goes well wide.

Awful day for Villa. Look completely knackered. Looked vulnerable defensively since Kamara went down. But if you win the next one, it's all forgotten.

As a tottenham fan I was going crazy until half time. Then when I saw van de ven injured I put my phone down and went to get a coffee. I come back and we are 4-0 up. That's why I love spurs.

Now that is what Angeball can achieve! It's been coming. Delighted as a Spurs fan!

West Ham 1-2 Burnley
Both sides had also made changes for the start of the second half with West Ham sending on Edson Alvarez and Michail Antonio for Kalvin Phillips and James Ward-Prowse.
Burnley, meanwhile, sent on Josh Brownhill for Jacob Bruun Larsen.
Lucas Paqueta (47 mins)
Right back in it!
Terrible defending seconds into the second half as Maxime Esteve is caught in possession and Lucas Paqueta races through before finishing confidently.
That's lifted the home crowd.
Getting back under way in our 2pm games.

Another relegation fodder team that we have made look like world beaters. We've had more shots on target at our goal than at Burnley's. Awful passive football again.

I think it has been a Tottenham performance, one of the best ones we have seen in a while.
They are a top side anyway. We have seen big performances from them but that second half was phenomenal.

I was actually a bit concerned when VDV went off at 0-0…

Great result for spurs not only gaining on our nearest rival but wiping out their goal advantage to boot Cmon you Spurs

HT: West Ham 0-2 Burnley
Burnley manager Vincent Kompany will be happy with what he has watched in an assured first-half display from his side.
The Clarets have played with energy, been organised when they have needed to defend and taken their chances when they have come.
It has been the perfect away performance.
West Ham, who have had less possession and not managed a shot on target, have been very poor.

I’m not ‘Moyes Out’ and never have been, but I also believe that the criticism levelled at West Ham fans who are, is massively unfair. The cup win papered over a lot of cracks last season and again this year, there are far too many tepid performances like this one. Lets face it, it’s no coincidence that Moyes is never linked to other vacancies. In Moyes we trust but less of this kind of display is required!

Aston Villa 0-4 Tottenham
Two minutes to go. My 5-0 prediction at 12:07 is still on. Just saying...

Villa Park almost deserted in terms of the stands where the home fans sit.

Sambr2302: Everything wrong with Villa’s performance summed up with that third Spurs goal. Body language of 2 Villa players just giving up after Kulusevski getting past them just giving up rather than busting a gut to try and get back.
Timo Werner (90+5 mins)
Ruthless.
Son Heung-Min skips forward before setting up Timo Werner who side-foots a peach of a finish into the far corner.
Villa Park is empty, well, except for a bouncing away end.
