The Brazilian manages to dig out another attempt which whistles just wide of Stefan Ortega's post.

That wasn't a bad effort at all.

All the pre-match talk about this being a blockbuster...we're still waiting for this to properly get going.

I was just praising Anthony Taylor for letting the play go but I think Jakub Kiwior should have been shown a yellow card. If it continues, we'll see something very nasty soon.

Nathan Ake cannot carry on. It looks like the Netherlands defender has a calf problem and he has been replaced by Rico Lewis.

This hasn't really got going so far. Declan Rice and Rodri are having a good tussle in midfield while Kevin de Bruyne almost opens up the Arsenal defence with a pass but Manuel Akanji's pass inside the box is cleared.

Arsenal are playing really well now, their concentration is fantastic.

A City attack breaks down after Phil Foden gives the ball away. That's not gone down well with Pep Guardiola who is out of his seat and in a fidgety mood.

Around 20 minutes on the clock - and about 30 seconds of highlights so far. Not an awful lot has happened. Bukayo Saka tries to drive at City's defence but Josko Gvardiol makes a crisp, clean challenge.

It's interesting to see what Arsenal will produce from their set pieces.

This is pretty cagey which is perhaps understandable considering what is at stake. Arsenal are back in numbers soaking up all of City's possession.

Big chance for City!

A corner is floated into the Arsenal box and it comes off the shoulder of Nathan Ake, who is about five yards out, before falling kindly for David Raya.

Fifteen minutes have gone in a flash. City have had 65% possession.

Just the one shot so far from the boot of Gabriel Jesus.

This is looking ominous for Arsenal. Manchester City are coming at them in waves and Ben White keeps his cool to chest back to David Raya to end the latest attack.

Goes withour saying really but Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola particularly animated. Keeper Stefan Ortega just had some long distance explaining to do to his manager after Guardiola vented his fury at a misplaced clearance - well not exactly misplaced just not on the precise spot Guardiola was demanding.

There's a banner in the away end paying tribute to former Arsenal player David Rocastle. He died on this day 23 years ago. Nice touch Arsenal's travelling fans.
