Paul:The injuries have ruined our season. I have no doubt that we will drop points at home to Luton and that we will lose the Carabao Cup final heavily. Unfortunately, we will win nothing this season, which is a great shame now that we know Jurgen Klopp is leaving.

Luton may have a weakened side tonight (along with the hosts), but I think Luton genuinely have more about them to get out of the bottom three. They definitely have a bigger goal threat than Everton - although most teams do.

Liverpool v Luton: Injury situation 'not great' says Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on the mounting injury problems and facing Luton: "We will not feel sorry for ourselves with the problems that we have at the moment - this is not allowed - but it would not be too logical if we did not acknowledge that they exist.

“Since I first arrived at Liverpool, we have not had an easy way presented to us.

"Reacting to challenges and problems is part and parcel of being at this club. But no matter what the situation, our shared obligation is to go for it and this has to be our aim again tonight.

“Luton will fight, they will use their strengths and they will look to make life as uncomfortable for us as they possibly can."

Luton Town boss Rob Edwards on facing Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp: "Playing Liverpool away from home is up there with as difficult it can get. Anfield is a special place and they're strong at home.

"I can't wait. It's a great game and a brilliant challenge for us. They're a great club who are top of the league with an amazing stadium, which will be full of excitement and expectation on their side.

"He's one of my favourites I must say (Klopp). He has an amazing presence, personality and charisma, the way he leads his team, wants to play, attack.

"I love the way his teams play and that they want to win. I hope it's not the last time I'm able to go up against him."

Premier League leaders, in the Carabao Cup final, favourites for the Europa League and progressing well with a home draw against Southampton in the FA Cup fifth round. It’s all there for Liverpool.

They are also in superb form and while there will be injury concerns about keeper Alisson and striker Diogo Jota after the weekend to add to other problems, Jurgen Klopp’s squad looks full of confidence and dynamism.

Four trophies is a big task - but I reckon Klopp will waltz off into the sunset with at least one piece of silverware this season.

On Luton Town: “They are a tough team and have caused many teams problems. It will not be easy tonight, we will need the fans with us and hopefully we can get the three points.”

Final Score: How will the title race play out?

It's amazing. The excitement, the best league in the world. We've seen Liverpool and Manchester City battle right to the end of the season in the past. Arsenal are certainly contributing this season. This is what we want.

It's going to be tight. Can it swing? Yes it can. Normally I'm much more confident City can go and take the title but this season I've got that doubt.

Do I think City can go on and win it? They've got the best chance and are favourites.

But there is danger all around.

We already know Jurgen Klopp is leaving at the end of the season. But who will replace him?

Former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso, boss of Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen, has been strongly linked with a return to Anfield.

But will Bayern Munich target the Spaniard after today's announcement that Thomas Tuchel will leave at the end of the season.

When Luton drew 1-1 with Liverpool on 5 November, Tom Lockyer captained the Hatters at Kenilworth Road.

Six weeks later Lockyer collapsed on the pitch after suffering a cardiac arrest during his side's game at Bournemouth.

The defender, 29, has shown BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) he has had fitted in his chest.

ICDs are designed to restart the heart instantly in case of a similar occurrence in the future.

Liverpool's injuries will not help that’s for sure but manager Jurgen Klopp is so adept at manoeuvring his squad and they are currently so confident that I am not sure it will derail them.

If he loses these influential players such as keeper Alisson and the likes of Diogo Jota for any length of time, then this is a serious problem. What I will say is that I feel Liverpool’s attacking resources mean they may be able to cope better without Jota than Arsenal did when they lost key defender William Saliba last season.

Where they will certainly miss Jota is with his awareness and, particularly, his finishing, which is outstanding.

The very first game I went to at Anfield as a Liverpool supporter was in October 1983 when Liverpool put six past Luton with Ian Rush scoring five. I notice Rush isn’t on the bench tonight so I’m hoping Gakpo, Elliot and Diaz get two each so they can replicate that beautiful memory for me!

    Liverpool v Luton (19:30 GMT)

    Luton Town

Luton boss Rob Edwards: “I understand from his [Jurgen Klopp’s] point of view some of the the focus from the supporters will be on the game [League Cup final] in a few days time and the expectation is to roll Luton over.

“We have got to make sure we are doing our job and we don’t make it easy for them.

“We will try give it our best, we will focus on our performance and we are really looking forward to a massive challenge."

On the 1-1 draw earlier in the season: “We will attack the game in a different way in what we did at Kenilworth Road and there will be no hiding away from what we are.

"In the last 10 games in the league we have been a certain way. I like how we have progressed and we are lot more on the front foot and we press very hard - it is allowing us to take more of the ball.

"When we played them in the first game we tried to block it up and there will not be as much of that [tonight].”

I have a lot of admiration for Rob Edwards and the Luton players, I really hope they stay up this season, but for tonight I'm hoping and expecting a Liverpool win. Even with a depleted squad I'm fully expecting three points and for the Reds to extend the league at the top to four points. I'm going for a 3-1 LFC win, with Diaz x2 and Van Dijk on the score sheet.

    Andy

Big chance for Gakpo and Gravenberch tonight . Time to step up guys.

    Lee Dixon
Former Arsenal and England defender on Today

All you would want at this stage of the season is to be in the conversation [for the title] and Arsenal are certainly in that. Having said that they were well in the conversation last season and they just fell short. They didn't know what was coming around the corner - the juggernaut of pressure. It hits you like a ton of bricks.

The difference this season is that it is not in their own hands right now. There are three in the race as opposed to two. The fact that there are three of them...Arsenal might just creep along and carry on with this form.

    I'm still hopeful.

It's almost 33 years to the day that Luton last defeated Liverpool.

On 23 February 1991, the Hatters won 3-1 at Kenilworth Road with Iain Dowie scoring two. The two clubs have met just six times since.

Back in November, Luton were moments away from a famous win thanks to Tahith Chong's goal.

However, substitute Luis Diaz salvaged a point for the Reds with a 95th-minute equaliser.
