Not sure what the issue was there but the forward seems intent to try to run it off.

Both coaches take advantage of the stoppage to deliver further instructions to their teams.

In spite of being two goals behind the hosts are staying true to their game plan.

Unfortunately for them United look very much at ease dealing with their high press, playing the ball neatly around them now.

Those first few minutes of the visitors looking flustered on the ball feel like a very long time ago.

Out of almost nowhere Brighton seem all but out of this game.

Manchester United have only just edged possession, with 54% of the ball, but scoring from two of their first three shots on goal this evening has seen them ruthlessly snatch the game away from their hosts.

So after an energetic start from Brighton it is Manchester United who strike first in this second quarter-final.

The home side seem rocked by conceding that early goal and can't seem to get a hold of the ball at the minute.

Brighton have very much started on the front foot here, which is to be expected in front of a bumper home crowd.

They've kept United pinned into their own defensive third for the majority of these opening few minutes.

Brighton have been in the goals in the FA Cup this season scoring ten across their two fixtures in the competition so far. They hit fifth tier Luton Town for six in the fourth round, before putting four goals past Championship side Wolves in the fifth round.

Manchester United have been in a similar rich vein of goalscoring form in the competition, beating National League Newcastle 5-0 and Championship promotion chasers Southampton 3-1 in their first two fixtures.
