Liverpool 6-1 Sparta Prague (Agg: 11-2)

Bobby Clark has signalled to the Liverpool bench that he's struggling. This may mean Mohamed Salah, who looked set to be replaced, will have to play the full 90.

  2. RED CARD TO AJAXpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March

Aston Villa 2-0 Ajax (Agg: 2-0)

The tie might be over now. Ajax midfielder Sivert Mannsverk fouls Jhon Duran in the centre circle. That's a second booking which means he's gone.

  4. Villa take huge step closer to the last eightpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March

Aston Villa 2-0 Ajax (Agg: 2-0)

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Villa Park

What noise at Villa Park as Villa take a huge step closer to the quarter-finals, with Leon Bailey capitalising on Ajax losing possession, producing two step overs to create space before scoring Villa's second.

That came just after a great chance for Jhon Duran, one for the injured Ollie Watkins.

Duran showed great strength and pace to hold off a challenge from Josip Sutalo and curl an effort aiming for the top corner, only to send it just wide.

But it didn't matter as Villa are now 30 minutes away from the last eight of the Europa Conference League.

The Ajax fans are still bouncing, singing and clapping and they still believe, but need something special from their side to rescue this one.

  5. Postpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March

Liverpool 6-1 Sparta Prague (Agg: 11-2)

Cody Gakpo should probably have a hat-trick but his left-footed strike was awkward and he scooped it over the bar.

  6. Postpublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March

Aston Villa 2-0 Ajax (Agg: 2-0)

Villa striker Jhon Duran heads straight at Diant Ramaj. Another goal would put this one beyond any doubt.

    Leon Bailey (60 mins)

Villa move a step closer to the quarter-finals.

Douglas Luiz finds Leon Bailey outside the box. He beats a defender with a step-over and slots a shot home with his right foot with the keeper moving the wrong way.

  11. Postpublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March

Aston Villa 1-0 Ajax (Agg: 1-0)

Villa think they should have a penalty here as Jhon Duran has a shot saved by the onrushing keeper Diant Ramaj, who brings him down in the follow-through.

Never a foul though. VAR agrees. Play goes on.
