    Cheeky from Cody Gakpo!

Harvey Elliott drives a low, left-footed strike towards the bottom corner and Gakpo shows great awareness to get a little flick on it and into the corner it goes.

Uefa says ticketless fans "could be a problem" at the Europa League final at Dublin's Aviva Stadium on 22 May.

It "would be extremely challenging" to accommodate supporters if clubs with bigger fanbases reached the final, says general secretary Theodore Theodoridis.

Liverpool, West Ham and Brighton could all be in Friday's quarter-final draw.

In 2022, Uefa apologised after Liverpool fans were teargassed before the Champions League final in Paris. There was also criticism of the 2023 Champions League final in Istanbul, as Manchester City beat Inter Milan on 10 June.

Liverpool have a huge fanbase in Ireland, while West Ham took 20,000 fans to Prague for their Europa Conference League final victory against Fiorentina in June 2023.

Villa have been plagued with key injuries all season. If Ollie's is serious then surely it's goodbye hopes of a top 4/5 finish!

If Brighton get a quick second half goal. That’ll definitely make things interesting

    Brighton 1-0 Roma (agg: 1-4)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at The Amex Stadium

It was all getting very feisty towards the end of the half with yellow cards flying on the pitch and in the technical area, with both managers now booked.

Danny Welbeck's superb goal has at least started to eat into that 4-0 first leg deficit. Another Brighton goal early in the second half might just make things interesting.

  18. Villa doing the job so farpublished at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March

HT: Aston Villa 1-0 Ajax (Agg: 0-0)

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Villa Park

Aston Villa are halfway there to reaching their first major European quarter-final since 1998 after a dominant first half against Ajax.

Ollie Watkins' super header, to connect with Douglas Luiz's perfect right-wing corner has the hosts in front, with Ajax often penned back in their own half.

But if Villa ever needed a warning that this one's not done, it came in the fifth minute of added time with Matty Cash doing excellently to clear Brian Brobbey's shot off the line with Emiliano Martinez well beaten.

Watkins went off injured shortly after scoring, but at the moment he is going to be the match-winner.

Disappointed that Liverpool don’t seem to be going for 300 against the Spartans.
