    Brentford 0-0 Brighton

Brentford really were impressive against Manchester United last-time out and they should have scored more than the one goal they did manage with the last kick of the game.

They will be determined to be much more clinical with their chances tonight.

I don’t know if Haaland’s game has dropped much, his scoring ‘difficulties’ could be down to teams figuring out how to play against City. Their record against the top five suggests there is more going on than just Haaland’s form. They dominated and were unplayable at times last season, but I wonder if the top coaches have looked at that and come up with ways to counter their game? Wouldn’t be the first time a dominant team has been figured out - and I’m not sure they’ve been completely figured out, but maybe just enough to make them mortal!

    Arsenal 0-0 Luton

Arsenal are immediately on the attack as Kai Havertz surges through the middle. Leandro Trossard makes a run into the box but Havertz's pass is too heavy and the opportunity goes.

Luton have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last 10 league and cup fixtures, conceding 30 goals during this run.

Their solitary clean sheet in the past 72 top-flight away games was in a goalless draw with West Ham at Upton Park in August 1991.

If Erling Haaland had scored at the weekend and there hadn't been comments made about his general performance, then him being on the bench tonight would have been classed as Pep Guardiola rotating his squad. We have also seen Kevin de Bruyne on the bench occasionally this season

They have Crystal Palace at the weekend and Real Madrid next week in the Champions League.

But given the comments around Haaland this week it seems that Pep is doing what he thinks is best for the team. I'm the manager, I'm leaving him out, that is what I'm going to do.

Maybe it's because I'm a Liverpool fan but seems like both Pep and Arteta are out to ruin my Fantasy Football score this week.

    Arsenal v Luton (19:30 BST)

    Luton Town

More on Luton's 16-year-old schoolboy defender Christian Chigozie who is on the substitutes bench at Emirates Stadium.

The Luton-born player started the season in Under-16s but has played regularly in the 18s and 21s, including the Premier League Cup matches.

Still in Year 11 at Chiltern Academy, next to the training ground, Christian will be sitting his GCSEs this summer and Luton had to ask for school's permission for him to miss classes to train with the first team last week.

Nigel Rothband, The Man City Show podcast

It is amazing to think City have not beaten a top-five team this season.

Having said that, they are still only three points off the league leaders with nine games to play.

A fourth successive league title is still possible.

City's fixture list, as it has been for the past three seasons, is frightening. We have reached at least the semi-finals in both the FA Cup and Champions League for three years on the trot, with a fourth beckoning.

Injuries have limited squad rotation this season and I expect we will see more of Julian Alvarez, Oscar Bobb, Matheus Nunes and Josko Gvardiol over the next few vital weeks.

    Incredible really.

  12. 'When things are against us, Luton can do special things'published at 19:22 British Summer Time 3 April

    Arsenal v Luton (19:30 BST)

    Luton Town

More from Luton boss Rob Edwards to TNT Sports: "We want to try and come out on the right end of a result. That has been difficult against the top teams. We feel we have got a good plan tonight and we know we are going to have to be very good without the ball.

"We know when we win the ball back we are going to have to be excellent and take what few chances we do get. Our backs are against the wall at the moment. It's a big challenge for us. I have never known anything like this. We have got very difficult games in this period but when things are against us, this club can do special things.

"Points are precious right now. We saw teams pick up points last night. What Arsenal are fighting for makes this game even more difficult. Something from this game would give us a huge lift."

    Arsenal v Luton (19:30 BST)

    Theo Walcott
Former Arsenal and Southampton forward on BBC Radio 5 Live

Arsenal dropped a lot of points against the lesser teams last season but I feel like Mikel Arteta and his players won't make those mistakes again this time round, they won't let it happen.

They have more experience now, they are a better team, and they are getting a lot of players back fit.

This is the moment where we see how much Arteta will use his squad, it will now be tested. He hasn't made many changes to his team throughout the season, you can almost name what their usual side is, but now it will be interesting how he uses the squad.

    Arsenal v Luton (19:30 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to TNT Sports, about Reiss Nelson making his first Premier League start since 2020: "No different to any other player. They're all very important players waiting to fill the roles. It's amazing and today is going to be an opportunity for everybody.

"I'm expecting a tough game. Luton make life very difficult for you. They are very unpredictable in the way they play. They have a big fighting spirit. We're going to have to earn it big time. Today is a very different challenge to three days ago but a big one as well."

    Arsenal v Luton (19:30 BST)

    Steve Bruce
Ex Manchester United defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Right now it is 'tickly bum time' as Sir Alex [Ferguson] used to say. When every game you have to win and you are watching your opponents trying to do the same.

This year we are blessed that there are three teams up there, and they are three juggernauts. I feel Arsenal will be feeling the pressure the most because they have yet to win it, well in recent times that is, and the first one for a group is always the hardest.

The games come thick and fast in the next couple of weeks, and there are a few champions league ties to chuck in there too.

It is difficult for me to say but can you really bet against City with their record?

  17. 'Too simple to say Premier League is sussing Haaland out'published at 19:16 British Summer Time 3 April

Man City v Aston Villa (20:15 BST)

    Paul Robinson
Former Tottenham and England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

There has been a lot made out of Roy Keane's comments in the media since Sunday but there is a lot more to Erling Haaland than suggesting the Premier League is sussing him out. It is too simple to say that.

Of course the fact he has failed to score in 12 of his last 17 for club and country and his last 5 for Manchester City, people are going to scrutinise him. Although I'm not sure you can say that still scoring ten goals in that time is a 'barren' spell.

  18. Team news - Haaland and De Bruyne on benchpublished at 19:15 British Summer Time 3 April

Man City v Aston Villa (20:15 BST)

Erling Haaland, Mateo Kovacic and Kevin De Bruyne all drop to the Manchester City bench as Pep Guardiola makes four changes to the team that drew 0-0 with Arsenal last time out.

Jack Grealish, Jeremy Doku, Julian Alvarez and Rico Lewis are given start.

Nathan Ake is out nursing an injury. John Stones, who picked up a knock on England duty, is among the City substitutes.

Manchester City XI: Ortega; Lewis, Ruben Dias, Akanji, Gvardiol; Rodri, Bernado Silva; Doku, Foden, Grealish; Alvarez.

Subs: Carson, Stones, Kovacic, Haaland, De Bruyne, Gómez, Nunes, Bobb, Susoho.

As for Aston Villa, Unai Emery makes five changes to the team that beat Wolves 2-0 on Saturday.

Lucas Digne, Clement Lenglet, Nicolo Zaniolo, Jhon Duran and Tim Iroegbunam all start.

Ollie Watkins is sidelined with a hamstring issue. Pau Torres, Alex Moreno, Youri Tielemans and Leon Bailey all drop to the bench.

Aston Villa XI: Martinez; Konsa, Diego Carlos, Lenglet, Digne; Zaniolo, Iroegbunam, Douglas Luiz, Rogers; Diaby, Duran.

Subs: Gauci, Olsen, Tielemans, Pau Torres, Moreno, Chambers, Kesler-Hayden, Bailey, Kellyman.

    Ian Westbrook, Beesotted podcast

Going into what turned into a very lengthy stoppage time, it felt like Brentford had thrown away two points against Manchester United by failing to take our chances. Only getting four of the 31 attempts on target told its own story.

But after the bitter blow of conceding so late, to show the character to come back and earn a draw felt like a point gained, rather than two dropped, in the end.

That is the "mentality" – a favourite word of Thomas Frank post-match – which will be needed to secure a fourth Premier League season for the Bees.

Eight more cup finals to go to earn safety – it seems Brentford are up for the task.

  20. 'Brentford are too good to go down'published at 19:12 British Summer Time 3 April

    Brentford v Brighton (19:30 BST)

This should be a decent game. Brighton did well against Liverpool on Sunday but, if anything, they scored too early at Anfield, and I never really thought they would hang on.

Brentford were excellent against Manchester United and it seems strange they are on such a poor run, with only one win from their past 10 games.

I am going to back the Bees to put that right here and pull away from the relegation zone, because they are definitely too good to go down.

Ivan Toney was very good against United and unlucky not to score, and the goals are going to start flowing for him again soon.

    Prediction: 2-1
